Spider mites too.

She was still running around when I checked last night. I don’t have spider mites or aphids though. I seen some gnats all torn up dead on the tent floor like 1 or 2 I I think that’s why she’s in there. Thanks for the input all.

Well, DUH!!! You have a Ladybug…

I just bought a container full of them from lowes. Have a bunch of bugs in my soil so I hope they’re way more effective then the neem oil and diatomaceous earth because neither of those did squat bout the bugs. So does anyone know is it a fact that they will not harm my plant?

Yes, they are great for the garden. The only thing you need to worry about is them dying in your buds if you are using them in flower.

Here is one digging through the perlite looking for bugs. I release about 20 of them at a time.

What kind of bugs are we talking about?

Well the ones that I know are present for sure are ones running around in the soil.im assuming knats…they appear to be grey maybe off white.some off my leaves have holes in them also

I see, well gnats don’t eat the leaves. The larvea eat the roots and then emerge from the soil. The adults are harmless to the plant but they lay eggs in the soil. Can you get a picture? My ladybugs are eating the gnats and springtails in my coco coir. If you put a layer of perlite on top of the soil it will stop them from laying eggs. Also they have a hard time coming up from the soil. I believe it’s about an inch layer of perlite. You can also use kids play sand for sand boxes and cover the top. Also how are you using the DE?

I had it as a top layer.im about to change out the soil of my plant I bought a bag of viagro mix more suitable for canabis.

Be sure to wet a cotton ball with RO or distilled water and throw in some raisins or craisins. Looks like there isn’t any bugs to eat at this time. These things have a giant appetite.

Life cycle of a ladybug.

Some info.

Most ladybugs voraciously consume plant-eating insects, such as aphids, and in doing so they help to protect crops. Ladybugs lay hundreds of eggs in the colonies of aphids and other plant-eating pests. When they hatch, the ladybug larvae immediately begin to feed. They lay extra eggs for the young to eat. The first thing they eat is there shell.

How do you recommend I use the DE?

I have a duster and just dust the whole plant. It kinda sucks using it inside tho its messy. You do not want to breath it in… The layer on top is good until it gets wet. Then it doesn’t work and drys as one giant clump and my pots wouldn’t drain.i had to break it all back up into powder again. Remember that it slowly drys the bugs out its not an instant death thing. It will kill your ladybugs too. What i started doing was rubbing it on the stem after lollipoping the plant. If the bugs have to crawl which most nasty do they will go right through the stuff as they go up. I have not used the stuff for very long. You should get some yellow sticky traps and put them in the pots and hang them around your grow. Im going to watch some videos on it to see if they use it any other way.

I’ll keep it in mind thanks.ive also hear u can dilute it in water and spray it out of a bottle on the leaves and stems.
