Lab Results on Fox Farms Ocean Forest

I didn’t. The runoff was misleading (usually around 5.8 in mid to late flower). Trying to fix the runoff ph is when things start going south. Just make sure input ph is good.

I’ve been adjusting FF with lime in a wheelbarrow prior to using. It’s a pain to keep making slurry samples. Coast of Maine is abundant locally too but I haven’t heard much chatter about it around the forum. Anyone know if it would be a good alternative?

Roots organic original is a great alternative. Much better IMO. No need to add extra perlite and still gets the plants through veg without needing to supplement anything. Gotta be careful with the lime. It can lead to a magnesium overload.

Very informative results. Stuff has plenty of everything. Yea it says to add limestone which will bring the pH up, but will likely also raise ppms of other nutes. Many universities have soil testing labs that are pretty cheap. I think it’s a great tool to use. You can send a sample back when you add the lime and get those results, too.
Maybe I’ve been lucky with the FFOF, or maybe I’m ignorant because it’s all I’ve used. Both.
@BobbyDigital might have the answer with the Roots Organics as a ready-to-go soil out the bag.

I’ve had good results last year from mixing together fox farm soil with coast of maine amendments (earthworm castings and lobster compost) and some locally sourced composted cow manure from a dairy farm. I used both Happy Frog and Ocean Forest mixed 50 50 along with the other amendments. And i added a little coco perlite to fluff it up a little bit, the other amendments were a bit thick.

How can i make a new post here? I’m new and unable to figure it out.
