and so it beginsā¦and damn that was fast
so you put these to 12/12 immediately after putting in your tableā¦
Yes, but next round Iāll be going back to 14/10
I believe I like it better there
I did rush these a little when rooting, should have gave them a few more days.
Gonna get with @Budbrother and have him look over my BIY cloner and get back to using it
I guess I wasnāt paying attentionā¦ I knew they were clones but thought you were going to veg them more before flipā¦ and you get them to flower at 14/10ā¦
Last year I started playing with the far red lights, run more light hrs and less dark hours = bigger run
Seems to have worked twice for me so far.
Couldnāt do it this run because of the DC and GL in flower already.
Give me 7-8 weeks and Iāll do this all again
Far Red Light for Plant Sleep
Far red light, with a wavelength between 710-850nm, can be used to influence plant behavior and induce a āsleep-likeā state. This phenomenon is often referred to as āsleep initiationā or ānight initiation.ā By exposing plants to far red light, growers can simulate the natural day-night cycle and trigger the plantās natural response to darkness.
Mechanism
Far red light is perceived by plants as a signal for nightfall, which triggers the plantās internal clock to initiate the night phase. This process is mediated by the plantās circadian rhythm, which regulates various physiological processes, including photosynthesis, respiration, and growth.
Practical Applications
Shorten Night Phase: By using far red light to induce āsleep,ā growers can shorten the night phase without diminishing the plantās regenerative effect. This can be beneficial for plants that require shorter night periods or for growers who want to optimize their lighting schedule.
Enhance Regeneration: Far red light can also enhance the plantās regeneration phase by accelerating the natural process of nightfall. This can lead to improved yields and plant health.
Optimize Photosynthesis: By using far red light to induce āsleep,ā growers can optimize photosynthesis during the day by allowing the plant to focus its energy on growth and development rather than wasting it on unnecessary nighttime processes.
Best Practices
Duration: Leave the far red light on for 10-15 minutes after regular lights go off to initiate the āsleepā phase.
Intensity: Use a moderate intensity of far red light, as high intensities may not be necessary and could potentially harm the plants.
Timing: Experiment with different timing schedules to find the optimal balance for your specific grow setup and plant species.
Important Notes
Not all plants respond equally: Some plants may not respond to far red light or may have different requirements for inducing āsleep.ā
Combination with other lighting: Far red light can be used in combination with other lighting spectra to create a more comprehensive lighting strategy.
Monitor plant response: Observe your plantsā response to far red light and adjust your strategy as needed to optimize growth and yields.
Something like this
didnāt realize you were doing all thatā¦nice addition with the far red light
I started playing with them thinking I could cut flower times down a week or so
Instead I was getting monster growth
you make me feel so basicā¦ I just have a regular lightā¦ahahahahahaha
You in dro so far from basic
I have a tinkerin problem
Idle hands you know
Game on now buddy
Oh yeah, that just sucks huh? LMAO
Horrible times buddy just horrible
Weather is just know making me comfortable to run the table
Thankfully @Storm hooked it up with a chiller this year.
Got me a 4 week jump start and probably could have started a couple weeks sooner. So in theory I should be able to push 4-6 weeks later then normal.
Thatās definitely an extra run for the season. Hada a hiccup in the first week or so running the chiller but a good cleaning and all seems fine
Thanks again BUDdy @Storm
Anytime man. Glad you got the hard water deposits off.
morning SCā¦at the house today to change out the reservoirs and then back to the camp tomorrowā¦
Good afternoon
I swear every day I read somewhere that your back home rez changing
I stay at home and never change my Rez
Good luck at camp, I read your hog hunting. I just figured you was OK deer hunting. Good luck
Hope ya drop a couple dozen
right now just grounds keeping and filling the feedersā¦OK has a short gun deer season during thanksgiving and that is when the owners show up for about 10 days and then I am by myself again and that is really when I try to thin the hog populationā¦
I like to have a fresh reset on nutrients each weekā¦ I know others that never change their reservoirs eitherā¦ I donāt run a chiller and have no issues but others swear you have to have oneā¦ pizza in the oven is ready ā¦
Good luck on the hunts man
I love hog slaying and eatting
Iāve never needed a chiller until i started growing in a shop with no enviro control
Excellent news Buddy
