KinSEDC's v2.1 Glue Gelato Auto Grow

and not sure which ones would do that… they’re all closed in the basement right now.

I owned an appliance repair company before my TBI prevented that…what’s up with the washer?

actually. i lucked out with the washer, it was actually the floodstop valves. shouldn’t have said washer, but wasn’t sure until today. funny thing. the leak in the roof dripped onto the floodstop sensor and shut the water off, but then guessing something in the valve brain malfunctioned and it wouldn’t open up again. had to pay the contractors to come out and pull the machines out and replace the floodstop with a new one.

i’ll happily fly you out here and pay you in BD.

Ha! I’d have to be able to handle just getting to the airport, first. But I’d probably take that offer for the right amount of Blue Dream. Aw, who am I kidding. I’d probably do it for the trip lol

haha. yeah i know it’s not easy for you to leave the house. i’d gladly build you a teleporter if i knew how. and eh, don’t waste precious energy on getting to this city haha. if i move out west… then maybe we’ll work something out. i’ll send a sleeper car.

i’m about to hit some gelato cake. i got it awhile ago and wasn’t impressed but it’s growing on me. about to perform the crankiness test.

Haha, done deal.

That’s how I felt about Gelato at first. Not very strong smelling, flavor isn’t in your face, and the high creeps up. But it definitely grows on you. Hits me the same every time.

feeling not so crabby now. so weird though, most strains cause my delts to tense up while everything else is relaxed.

and this is making me happier. i’ll just have manually run the fan for air exchange

the 2x4 holds my lonely glue gelato. i got the temps and humidity at a fairly happy happy medium by putting the humidifier on a timer set to two min on and then four minutes off. same fan and air exchange quandary as below though.

the inkbird is currently in use in the 2x2 and doing a great job of holding temps and humidity steady but now need a new trigger to turn the fan on to exchange air periodically. i’m going to try tripping it with the highest humidity readings over the day hoping that number gets hit every hour or so. second option is to hook the AC infinity controller to a timer to have it turn on every hour, which seems asinine to have to do.

also… unfortunate. the inkbird controller is too stinking loud so i have to take the humidifier off when i sleep.

tonight the glue gelato gets a H2O2 bath. tent was wiped down with bleach for maintenance purposes.

That’s better though, isn’t it?

yeah for the 2x4. humidity is not as high as it was or should be the trade off is the temp came up two degrees. but it’s just on a manual timer so i’ll actually have to pay attention to the ambient humidity. it’s all relative with a simple on/off timed controller. but ya, better for now. then it’s supposed to snow. oh and then of course it’ll go into the 60s after. cuz that’s normal.

ha, always.

i still have no idea what to make of this plant. i did a second copper treatment last night and it totally stained the leaves, which looks an awful like the original problem so now i’m going to have a wait awhile for new new growth to see if the issue has been resolved. i’ll do one more peroxide wash on Saturday and will put in a second dose of calmag to cover both bases.

i’m having to adjust the ph of the reservoir every day as it drifts from 6.5 to 7.5 in under 24 hours, which really defeats the hands off approach. assuming the plant is getting the proper autowatering, that is still a nice feature, but not sure how you’re supposed to go on vacation for a few days- and actually this seems almost worse cuz you could probably go five days without watering in soil but as this is continuously watered, i think you need to continuously adjust.

i also tossed the second half of the coast of main soil. makes me ill. i threw out hundreds of $ of soil last grow too. but not worth the risk.

@MattyBear just set one up for his coco girls, got any pointers bud??

Some plants just want to be difficult off the bat. Is your medium supposed to be ph’d on the lower end of the spectrum? I would try to ph your feeds at 5.8 and let the ph drift up to the mid 6’s before adjusting the ph back down

it’s a living soil, i think they said 6.3-7. i doubt its the plant, it’s still small and shouldn’t have any roots down there.

you’re running an octopot?

No, I’m running drippers on timers tho. I have one plant right now that is pickier than the others, but I don’t have the time to give it special treatment so I’ll let it ride and harvest what she gives me. She might turn things around the bigger she gets too

good luck! i’ve been curious about drippers but i feel like i have the same ph quandary. i’ll have to check in on your grow.

That sucks it is not working out. My two Octopots are working out well with the Coast of Maine Super Soil. I think I prefer DWC Hydro or Aeroponics over this SWC wick system though. The cost of soil is a deterrent…

Who knows… I am always changing up my grows. It’s a hobby :+1:t2:

My next project! Self watering system. Probably drip on timer…
