Yes. Is that better than using a moisture sensor? Should I be feeding the plant water until it comes out of the bottom of the fabric pot?

Regretfully, I have two of those meters, bought before arriving this forum.
Water by amount or weight. and avoid overwatering, it’s a good learning lesson.
I hope to get it right, somedays.
To avoid overwatering, I try bottom watering, sometimes.

Yep. Have experienced the over-watering. I stunted 2 northern lights when I first started out in April. Will try not to do that again.

I like bottom watering.
Otherwise, I often overwater or splash

You have perfect timing! I just set up/ reorganized my closet and put a plant saucer under the plant I moved the first one in there. Thought entered my mind at that point thinking  exactly that. Why couldn’t I bottom feed? I bottom feed all of my other house plants.
So again, thank you for your timely advice.

I use auto pots and trays that are bottom feed set ups. Biggest no no would be top feeding and bottom feeding at the same time. When you top feed to run off the salts are rinsed/flushed out the bottom and you don’t want that wicking back into the root zone :love_you_gesture:

I forgot to ask if your growing medium is coco or soil :love_you_gesture:

Go Rangers! The first few innings were exciting for us Ranger fans last night, even without Garcia.

Soil with some coco and perlite.

Yes. Tonight’s game should be the best one yet. Either Rangers win the WS or we wait…

Whenever it comes down to a team only one game away from winning a series (even in basketball) and they are away, I have this weird feeling that they would prefer to win at home and take it easy so they can go one game longer. But we’ll see. Diamondbacks are great contenders and I think after losing twice at home, they are going to come out on fire tonight. Their poor pitchers last night though.

Wanting to add molasses, can they be added with straight water from top?
Or bottom also?

When I switched from top feeding to bottom feeding I tried 2 methods of feeding Growers Recharge that had a small % of molasses. 1st was in the reservoir that fed the auto trays and that got messy even with a wave maker. I tried top feeding and as long as I limited the amount it seemed ok. Best method that works for my set up is adding to the bottom auto tray and letting it wick in with my nutrient solution. I did switch to TPS billions though and don’t feed molasses :love_you_gesture:

Yep. I thought they might pull thru as well. They made the Cubbies look like AAA when they played them at the end of the season. I pretty much decided then that they were going to go all the way.

I am happy Texas won it though. They needed a World Series as well. I think they said they have been trying for63 or 68 years.

Now the long wait for Spring Training. In the meantime, they’ll surely be trade rumors and deals going on.

All in all it was a great series. My husband had a gig that night (I of course was a supportive wife and was totally there to watch them … and not the game :joy:) and they started playing Deep in the Heart of Texas as soon as that last pitch was caught.

Do you also watch NBA? We are about to dive deep into that

I used to watch it all the time, but I had moved to Southern Georgia for the last 20 years and nobody there cares about it. They are all about high school football.

I moved back to Chicago last November and I would love to get back into basketball :basketball:!

Should be interesting this year. They just implemented an In Season Tournament. It’s bracket style and the finals are knock out rounds. Starts this Friday and the “Championship” for it is December 8th.

Very cool! Thanks for the heads up!
