Good evening. I just started my flowering stage, first grower…I have as much light cut out of the grow room, but it might get some light as i go from the front room to the master bedroom. Am I destined to weird growing buds if they get a little light accidently?
The typical concerns with light leaks is that plants won’t go into flower dur to not having uninterrupted dark period or will go hermaphrodite if they do flower. I’m not aware of any exact amount or duration that is consistent but in general you don’t want any light getting into your grow room during lights out period.
The exception to this should be autoflowering strains. But from what I’ve seen several of them behave just like photoperiod plants.

I have done similar stuff with no problems. As long as its brief it doesn’t seem to effect the plants. Outdoors they get occasional lightning flashes that are far more intense than me opening a door to the room. I have on occasion taken a flashlight and checked them for temp and humidity if I was gone during the day and needed to check. Never had one herm or show any problem. My grow tent is in a room with no windows so I never zip it up. It sets open all the way all day and night. So when I walk through, which I do every night, it gets a little indirect light from other rooms. I dont think you have any worries.
