Some serious bud porn today
I am on my second go round with Gold Leaf… I really like the flavor of the strain (properly dried and cured)… Very “Sativa” (at least what I grew)… This is 4 weeks into flower and will probably finish in 3 weeks
I also do BubbaKush and Blue Dream… This may not be the most potent but it is my favorite for flavor…
Pure hydro, 66º, using Cultured Solutions system (a bit complicated for a first grow but got a lot easier after my 3rd)
First batch tested out at 23% and I could not have been happier…
It is pretty sensitive to PH variations and found that by just leaving my PH alone, the plants did much better… Testing typically shows around 6.5 with a .5 variation between high and low during light cycles…
@RandallJ I am on my first grow ever and am growing one gold leaf girl. She is now into her 3rd week of veg and is growing great. Will take a new photo later today and post it here. But she is tall, fairly tall anyway at about 9 inches, but is really bushy for gold leaf from what i understand.
Also has a strong odor even now this young. Very sweet, a very small hint of skunk, but just a sweet strong odor. I love it. When working in the tent, i love to lean over and take a whiff.
I have 1 Whte Widow and 2 Og Kush growing in the tent as well. But the gl gal is the best of the group.
I do have several seedlings coming up from seeds a buddy sent me. Bag seeds, but very healthy. Sent me about 50 seeds or so and so I tried popping about 6 in the paper towel route, and had 5 of the six pop legs after one day. Very healthy. Put them in a couple of starter pots and they have all come out already after 2 days. Not sure what I am going to do with them. Would like to know what kind they are. I will have an extra tent in a couple of weeks, so figure to grow them in that tent and see what they turn into. Just be fun.
@cyberblast I’ve been asking around where I live for some bag seed. No one has any…
@suctionmed Yea, sometimes it can be hard to find. My buddy got these from a friend who got them from a dispensary apparently. No telling what kind of MJ they are. At least they are healthy. And nowadays with the good bagged stuff being out there, they arent so full of seeds like they used to be. Heck, back in the 70’s and 80’s seemed like if you got a lid it was half seed and stems. I used to take the seed and scatter it alongside the roadway or on the side of ditch out in rural areas. Never knew if it was going to grow, but one time found two big plants where I had scattered. Go a few ounces there so it was worth it.
Wouldnt mind giving some of these seeds away cause too many to use for me. But dont want to get in any trouble here. They likely will go bad before I would use them all. Especially since I still have seed from here to grow. But They are healthy seeds cause I sprouted 5 out of 6 and they have come out in the pots. Still very small and arent as large as the seeds I have grown from ILGM. Dont know what they will grow into. Will see. Likely they are bottom shelf growth seeds so wont be something special but ya never know. Likely will try to find a stealth spot outside to plant them at this coming spring and then just see how they do.
@Redbudbush If my girl grows up to look like that I will be, oh so happy.
My one friend did that. He had about a dozen seeds. Dug himself a long trench and just let them go. He only watered them once after planting. Took out the males when they showed. Said it was easiest grow he ever did.
Went into flush Thursday and last night, it was harvest time… (pure hydro system)>>
Looks like between the 2 plants around 1200g as it went on the hook to dry…
I really like this strain personally, I can see why it is the bosses favorite… Awesome flavor
I think this is made out to be a lot harder than it is at times… While there is nothing simple about this, I think it might be easy to get worked up over a lot of little things that don’t matter so much…
I ran marine aquariums and this likely gave me a head start on water quality (most important) and not getting in a rush for anything… Nothing good happens fast and I think that applies here as well…
