Hello Friends. I figured I would start this up and document my progress with ILGM seeds as a very ‘green’ grower. So we got a 20 pack of WW autoflowers a few months ago. With a bit of advice from this lovely community, we now have 18/20 seedlings. Hoping the last 2 will pop today. Started in water and put into moist FoxFarm CocoLoco on March 30th. Special thanks to @HippieRunner1 on that one.
Right now I have them in my room by a south east facing window. They get about 8 hours of natural light, and the work light over them has a rather warm and bright bulb ( i found it in the shed) that will work fine for now, I think.
Any advice, tips, tricks, and criticisms welcome!

Do you plan to move them outside or do you have lighting in mind? A window won’t provide anywhere near what is needed to flower cannabis plants. I hope you will be moving them outdoors. It will cost a fortune (think: thousands) to buy lighting to flower 18 plants.
Welcome to the forum. Start a journal here and we’ll help you along the way to make sure that you get the most out of your plants.
yes these are very much going outside. just starting them now. i am in the Northeast, so i figure i might need a stronger light and some bags until the weather is cooperating, generally around mid may we are out of the frost danger zone here
Awesome. You’ll have a nice, productive grow.
heres hoping
I am excited to follow along
A couple of tips to head off things that frequently occur with newer growers.
Be careful to not overwater your seedlings. They only need a couple ml of water a day at this point. Seedlings hate wet feet.
Try to get your seedlings as much light as you can give them so they don’t stretch for more light and get leggy.
ok so i havent watered at all since i put them in the soil. now that they have sprouted, give them a very little sip. and ill turn that work light on and try to position it a bit better
what do you think about the two that havent popped yet? going on 6 days ish…
the coco loco holds moisture like, ridiculously well. pretty happy about that
I put my seeds directly in soil rather than soaking them. Have occasionally had seeds take up to 10 days to pop.
You might find this helpful as it discusses the basics in detail. Good basics = good weed.
Not at all sure if this could be an issue or not. But autos may well start flowering before May.
Maybe already showing leggy signs
yeah i was thinking about that. guess we will cross that bridge if need be
they are a bit leggy. im at 19/20 popped up. i think i should get a better light and put it a couple feet over them to reduce their reaching
Hey @junkie , quite an ambitious grow. Hope it goes well for you.
Even something like this light from Lowes would work for 2 to 4 weeks or until they got too big to all stay under the light. Its fairly cheap and probably in stock wherever you are. My local store has one. It wont flower a plant but it would keep the little ones from stretching.
that and then fill the cups with dirt to “bury” the stem and help support the youngins
that is actually super cheap and would work quite well. thanks for that man!!!
edit: and yeah i know its a bit ambitous. a few of the plants will go to my dad so he can try his hand. just need to get them that far
Boxed up like puppies lol. I agree with @Spiney_norman. You need some light on those things. Even a cheap walmart bar led. Theyre like 10 to 20 bucks. They only push about 250 to 300 parr though so youll need to place them about 6" off the tops of the plants
LOL i took the puppies out of the box!!! they are just infront of the window on like a rubber mat. i get some money tomorrow so i will go pick something up. i got the work light over them in the meantime. its f.i.n.e.
