Can hardly tell that that plant was unhappy just a few days ago.

She is starting to look hungry. She’s back in nutes now

I decided to feed the soil girls instead of watering. 1/2 strength week 2 Fox farms schedule. In 1 gallon of well water. I added 2 ml cal mag, 3 tsp. Big Bloom, 1tsp Grow Big, 1/2 tsp Boomerang, 1/4 tsp Kangaroots, 1/4 tsp Microbebrew ph’d to 6.5 each girl had about 1000ml, 700 ppm.

Hay if your not getting that bacteria slime build up don’t keep hydrogen bathing her unless she gets it again and if it does come back then you need to swap out the air stone and hose and scrub bucket again. Unless you are trying a non bac sterile run then u keep hydrogen bath in between water changes

I’ve bleached scrubbed buckets, air stones and tubing every 2 days for a week. It’s getting tiresome and today, they grey slime is back with a vengeance

Just when I think it’s all cleared up, bam its back.
Her younger soil sisters are bigger than her now. I’m at a loss. I’ve researched the internet and can’t find anything on the grey slime, just algae and brown slime is all I can find on the web. Can a hydro plant be thrown in the dirt with some good microbes to take care of the problem ?and let her finish out in soil? Is that possible?
Here’s the girls today
OG kush looks rough

Blue Dream’Matic and Black Sugar Rose look good. I think they liked the first nute feeding they had on Tuesday.
I’m not sure where to go with the slime girl, my efforts have just suppressed the slime growth, it’s far from gone.
I have 3 buckets, 2 sets of stones and tubing. As she sits in one bucket the other stones buckets and tubings sit in bleach water for an hour or 2, then I scrub them, run bleach water through tubing, rinse the hell outta everything and let the air tubing hang on my basement close line to dry, blow out the air stones with the air compressor…lost a stone that way once. It didn’t like that high of air pressure and blew to pieces :joy: it was pretty comical. But anyway, I have put 40 ml of H2O2 in water and let her stay in it for 24 hours. Then I rinse the roots real well and put her in a clean bucket with nutrients and hydrogaurd She has gotten 3 H2O2 treatments so far. I should give another today, but it’s not really working. Any ideas are appreciated but I’m kinda at the giving up point.

I’m really thinking dwc isn’t for me. Well, except my aerogarden. I’m loving it

And the nice white roots on my herbs. Thanks @elheffe702 :v::green_heart:

I GOT IT!

Maybe. lol

Could it be the light coming in through the white bucket? Aren’t they typically black, or more opaque at least?

Daaaaang I wish my dill looked that good. And is that what basil is supposed to look like? Man, I need me a little hydro herb garden. That’s super cool!

Well @elheffe702 thanks for the try, but the outside of the bucket is black.

I have 0 algae even my site tube is covered. Same set up that the cheese, and my tomatoes where in. I think I got contaminated either with a garage sale aquarium heater. Or my yucky floor drain…which is now clean and bleached. The tomato last year did get brown you my roots at the end, due to my neglect.

Dang. I’m confident someone will know what’ll fix it. Only other thing I could think of would be to maybe add heat with your decon, boiling water to kill off anything left behind. :man_shrugging: :crossed_fingers:

What are your water temps and room temps… ?
If you wanted to throw her in dirt that would be fine , she’s still young and should be fine… :+1::wink:
Also are you running the hydrogen peroxide through the stones in the net basket and everything…?
:v::sunglasses:

Thanks @peachfuzz. I removed the heater last week when I first discovered slime. I don’t plan to use it again. Water temps are 66 at the lowest and stay around 68 for the most part. Doesn’t get any warmer than 72°f tent temp is a low of 62 at night and a high of 78 at lights on. That high of 78 will definitely go up once the girls start flower and lights get cranked up. I did run the peroxide and rinse water through the basket.

How can I expect to do try hydro if jewles is having problems…I’ll NEVER figure it out !!! That is a lot of work that many times, super GRRRR… sucks jewls… sorry you’re having problems!?,:mask:

Oh you’d do fine @LoCoRock. If done correctly, hydro can grow some Beastie girls. My cheese was in the same dwc for a lot longer than expected. Thankfully with cheese, it was auto with to many photo genes or something crazy. A phauto as I like to call them. But I didn’t battle slime with cheese.

I don’t know how to create a vote, or I would. I can’t decide to go further with the peroxide treatments and try to tackle this slime, or if thats to much friggin work and put her soil…easy peasy
So what so y’all think? Soil or slime? Poor autoflower is already stunted.
