Jacks 321 mixing question

I mix the calcium nitrate in a separate jug from the part A and the Epsom salts and when both are dissolved I mix them together. Seems to work.

I use jacks with large reservoirs. I mix in 5 gallons and fill res to avoid any problems. Also found that i can set my ph on the low end and as time goes by ph creeps up to upper end of acceptable and then refill sets it right again.

I also have a question concerning mixing jacks. My buds are consistently coming out airy/larfy. It’s all fine smoke and does its job well but i would just like to have nice dense buds. I have been told that both ‘Bud Candy’ and ‘Big Bud’ from AN could help with this.
My question is, at what point in the ‘mixing order’ would i add them? My current order is this.
1)silica
2)Jacks A
3)Epsom Salt
4)Jacks B
5)adjust PH if necessary
6)Fish!t

These are the 2 products im asking about and 2 pictures of some airy bud i jarred yesterday.

Good to have some premixed but your ph can drift in both your plant rez and the offline rez used to top off.
When adding more rez solution I would do it his way.
Check ph of plant rez and adjust before adding any additional nutrients.
Check total devolved solids (tds) and adjust before adding any nutrients.
Once your rez tank is in order you can start the top off. Some days you plants just need water. Add nutrients as directions indicate for your plants phase.
I would flush your system every two to three weeks.
Good luck with your grow.

Genetics aside i have found that light makes the difference

What type of light are you using?and how much space are you covering?

Let’s say you have 2 -25 gallon reservoir’s and you mix your jacks nutrients in to both separate reservoirs and let’s say one is almost empty and has only 5 gallons left and you would like to add from the other reservoir that has 25 gallons of mixed nutes in should not be a problem.
Hope this makes sense lol

Add them following jack’s. I also used Nirvana in addition to Big Bud & Bud Candy.
I use coco so I added 1ml / liter of each rather than 2ml

It was explained to me, to always mix nuets into clean water.

So if you have a holding tank with already mixed nuets and you need to add to it

You would get another bucket to add your water then mix your nuets in it to make it what you want, then add it to your holding tank.

Im using both a Spider Farmer SF4000 and an HLG 350R spec… one on each side of a 4 x 8. 18-20 in above canopy in flowering.

Ok @beardless thanks for the info. Also… according to the directions on the bottle… 1 of the 2 says only use weeks 2-4 of flowering and the other says all the way through flowering till flushing… is this how you do it? And, what is the benefits of Nirvana and how do you use it?
Thanks again for the help.

This is taken from Haystork DOT com. It was one of the better sites I came across while figuring out Advanced Nutrient lines and how & when to use them. At the time I used mostly their Organic products. Their conventional products are used the same as described here. I hope this answers your questions.

Advanced Nutrients Organic - Ultimate AN Guide Pt.4 1 2 3 4 5
Big Bud Organic – Advanced Nutrients Organic Bloom Booster
What it does: This is the organic version of Advanced Nutrients flagship product – Big Bud. Just like the original, Big Bud Organic gives richer harvests, bigger, higher-quality flowers and fruits.
Instructions: You use a max of 2 ml of Big Bud Organic per 1 Liter of water for three weeks starting from the second week of blooming phase. 0 2 2 2 2
Bud Candy Organic – Carbohydrate Booster
What it does: Same as the original Bud Candy, Bud Candy Organic is a carbohydrate flower booster. It feeds beneficial microbes, enhances the aroma and flavour of crops, improves the size and quality of the fruits in an all-organic way.
Instructions: Apply a maximum of 2 ml of Bud Candy Organic mixed in 1 Liter of water during the blooming phase. 2 2 2 2 2
Ancient Earth Organic – Organic Substrate Supplement
What it does: This product combines Advanced Nutrients fulvic and humic acid supplements – Grandma Enggy’s H-2 and F-1 – into a single all-natural nutrient formula made from leonardite. Ancient Earth increases crops’ nutrient uptake, reduces the effects of pH fluctuations and salinity.
Instructions: Use Ancient Earth at a maximum of 2 ml per 1 Liter of water throughout both the growing and blooming cycles. 2 2 2 2 2
Nirvana
What it does: Nirvana is a bloom booster containing worm castings, kelp, alfalfa meal, krill meal, amino acids. This Advanced Nutrients additive stimulates and sustains an increased metabolic rate in crops, increases chlorophyll and helps plants use CO2 more effectively. It gives faster growth rates, stronger stalks, larger and denser blooms, larger leaves, and a bushier plant.
Instructions: Use Nirvana at a maximum of 2 ml per Liter of water starting from the third week of the blooming stage. 0 0 2 2 2
Piranha
What it does: Piranha is a blend of 11 strains of beneficial mycorrhizal fungi. This Advanced Nutrients additive helps expand the absorptive surface area of roots, destroys harmful fungi and other pathogens, cleanses the rhizosphere. It can also be used as a foliar spray to combat powdery mildew and bud rot.
Instructions: Use Piranha at a maximum of 2 ml per 1 Liter of water in the first two weeks of both the vegetative and flowering phases. 2 2 0 0 0
Voodoo Juice
What it does: Voodoo Juice is a root mass expander, a proprietary blend of 12 strains of beneficial rhizobacteria. It increases root mass by producing thicker roots and stems, and larger root systems. Since it increases water and nutrient absorption (and transport) none of the nutrients fed to crops will go to waste.
Instructions: Use Voodoo Juice at a maximum of 2 ml per 1 Liter of water in the first two weeks of both the vegetative and flowering phases. 2 2 0 0 0

Thanks for the reply… that is really helpful. It appears that Bud Candy is a ‘microbial inoculant’ so i assume i should mix that after I PH?

What do u mean chunks. Mine never had chunks of anything in it bigger chunks of mix stuck together a bit but easily breaks apart I always mix a quarter cup of hot water with each part in seperate cups to make sure all 3 parts are broke down and dissolved before I dump into the bucket. Seems to work great for me I’ve still never had chunks I can think of.

Frankly I did not pay that much attention to mix order until Jacks. I took it more as a sugar / carb and tossed it in before Ph’ing. I think FishSh!t and similar products, is they don’t affect Ph and have no nutrient values. Therefore, in my mind it does not really matter if you add them before or after Ph’ing.
Bud Candy has 1% potassium so I add before Ph and PPM

Hmmm gonna watch for this answer also as I always do first to last
Silica
Calmag if adding
Jacks a
Epsoms
Fulvic
Humic
Kelp
Bloom
Any additives now
Last part b
Make sure all is PhD proper then I add in tribus
Tribus and recharge I know for sure get added after PhD

By ‘bloom’ in that list, that would be the bud candy and big bud i was referring too? Also… I’ve never used Fulvic and Humic acids… could this be another reason for my larfy buds?
