Jack Herer didn’t stretch

What are you feeding? Should use lots of nitrogen the first few weeks. I’ve seen guys drop nitrogen when they flip and have different results. How tall do you want them?

Plants don’t seem to be eating much. Flip minus 14 days transplanted to 5 gallon FFHF. Watering every 2-3 days. Jacks 321 each feeding. No bloom boosters or fine tuning of the mix except I use less than full strength. Runoff ppm chronically very high. Flip minus 4 days PPM 2333 runoff (500 scale). Flip plus 8 days 860 in, 1893 out. Flip plus 12 days flushed with Fox Farms sledgehammer and 4 gallons ph’ed water and then 4 more gallons full strength Jacks 321. Flip plus 12 days 1279 ppm out. Flip plus plus 16 days 1803 ppm out. But I don’t see any distress, just no big stretch yet.

My first two grows were ILGM White Widow Autoflower. Same light, same tent, same soil. But no training and used FF trio nutrients. By day 60, those Autoflowers got as much as 40 inches above soil surface. With this 3rd grow, I topped once at 31 days after sprout and flipped when they were 18 inches. I was thinking they’d stretch to 36-48 or so.

What size pots?

Solo cup start. Transplanted to 2 gallon pots 24 days after sprout. And transplanted to 5 gallon fabric pots on risers 42 days after sprout.

Technically you would think they would be larger but I grew a Jack Herer last year that topped out at about 3’ with the pot. I thought it would be much taller. Produced fat buds that made you yawn

Yawn? Oh dear, I picked a Sativa hoping to dance dance dance without any yawning.

The high came on fast and hard which essentially just made me come down faster and harder. So hard that yawning was the reaction

Too bad you can’t drop the net @Isleofdogs . With my setup, I can. If I can tie them down…I’m going to.

I had to move the net down for this one. The plant next to her is double the height. She’s only 2 weeks into actual flower right now. They’re going to be some big buds in a few weeks. Maybe you can move the net down so you can get that sideways growth and open the canopy @Isleofdogs

Here’s my Jack Herer from last year. Used miracle grow and I believe that was a mistake, matter of fact I know it was. Going to give it a try next grow in good soil. Miracle grow had this tasting like ass

Update on my Jack Herer photoperiod grow. Now 34 days after the flip to 12/12. Never did stretch much. I guess I won’t need a second net. I’m watering every third day, rainwater plus Jack’s. Today: PH in 6.4, PPM in 550, PH out 6.0, PPM 1250. They aren’t very hungry. Light 17” above tallest buds, set at 80%. Photone reading average to around 40. Lots of fan leaves yellow, especially at the net level (17” above soil. Any advice about the yellowing?
