It's all in jars now and what a surprise

I was thinking I might have 5 ounces or so from my 3 Acapulco Gold ladies. But after getting them all jarred up it looks like I might have more than I thought. They are all in different stages of curing. I put all of them up just a hair on the damp side to try and stretch out the curing. I am checking on them every few hours or so and burping them accordingly. The buds seem to get better looking every day, but I still can’t really smell them, they don’t have that sweet smell I remember from the 70’s. They tasted good to start with and it seems like they are getting better every day. They are actually starting to look like what I remember. This was my first grow and I know I got lucky with the mistakes I made. These should last me a year or so. Thank you all for your help, Dino

Great job, looks like around 30 oz’s. Had a similar harvest last year, jar cured for 3 months then in the freezer. Still smoken it gets better every week.

There’s no way, are you kidding me. I hope you are right, I can’t wait to get a scale and weigh these. You made my day skipper, I’m just a 2 or 3 tokes a day person, this might last for years. After I weigh them I will let you know how close you are. I should have made this a guessing contest.

I should be close. I had the same reaction last year. My jars had about 2 oz,s a jar. Put up 30 of them.

Unreal…

Buy yourself some grove bags for storage.

Congratulations on your stash ! Drop in a miniature hydrometer in a couple of jars will help to monitor moisture content.

Try drying at 65% humidity and extend the dry. The outside of the bud should be dry to the touch almost crispy before you jar up. This will allow them to sweat and pull the moisture from the center to distribute it evenly inside the bud. Use bovida or some other moisture pack to maintain the humidity between 58% and 62% (least thats what I do) once the cure has begun. That dampness is a likely culprit to the zapping of your smells. Looks fantastic though, likely the smells will be more prevalent upon grinding. If you smell vinegar, there is a problem.

Thanks kellydans, How much do they cost?

About 20 bucks for five of them. eBay or Amazon I like the small round ones they fit in jars real nice.

Thanks Docnraq, I would sure hate to lose them at this point. I guess I will pull the ones out that are still damp to the the touch.
