It’s been 7 days

This might sound crazy but I started using toilet paper couple layers dampened put it on a plate and cover it with same size plate and so far I’m 100% in less than 48 hours usually only takes 24. With the soaking in water and paper towel I was having trouble getting them to pop . I ran across the toilet paper by accident when I was out of paper towels.

Watched the seedlings tutorial again. Lol going to soak then plant when the tap come out.

Use what you can find or have is what I say. I’ve always did my seeds straight into the ground this was the first time they failed. Feel stupid but really mad I lost a week.

I may have to bring them into finish flowering. Would you say it’s a waste? I’m in the Midwest and we are hot till end of October into nov. I got a late start that’s to be sure. So it’s like I got to do something.

Well not a waste exactly, and sure the plants will still flower most likely, due to hours of darkness but the plants will not yeild anywhere close to their potential. These plants are still a month and a half away from the start of flowering

they have lots of bulk to put on even before they start to flower. They would be significantly smaller had I started them a month ago.the one on the far right is 7 and a half feet tall… oh that was a few days ago… make that 8 feet tall.

Live shot in the greenhouse

you see the 4x8 sheet of plywood behind that plant in the corner? Thats the same plant as the one in the grow room back left bucket. Put in the greenhouse around mid May.

Why planning matters! Lol those are beauties may they be full and heavy, sir. I won’t pop all ten I’ll do 6 a piece. See what happens I can always make a space inside if things go well. I got a 600 old school to continue veg.

Would it be smarter to veg inside under light then flower outside in the sun since I’m so late? Any advice would be great. Shoulda planned.

Well it can be a bit of a chore quarantining and cleaning plants and soil of outside pests. But Id say, if you dont mind small plants go ahead and grow a few outdoors. Start a couple indoors and keep them there. Finish the outdoor outdoors! Dont bring it inside. You may infest your indoor grow

Thanks for the advice. I really don’t mind smalls. To me that is 4-5 ft’ers are more manageable where I’m growing. Low yield is cool as long the buds are tight and not stringy.

I placed the new seeds in water this evening.

First grow and I dropped all four seeds in the dirt kept it wet but not drenched. All four of mine popped within 2-3 days.

Awesome. Trying to do 13 this time. We shall see. I’ve always did it that way myself but these we old seeds probably 8 plus yrs. they probably needed a soak first before throwing them in the dirt. Good luck with your grow. What you got going ?

Should I keep them in water till the tap root comes out or only let them soak for 24 then soil?

I always soak until they pop the tail. Typically occurs within 24hrs
