I have 4 plants, 2 ILGM Banana Kush, 1 Blue Gelato 41 and 1 Chempie.
They are in 70/30 coco perlite, DTW using GH Flora trio w/ Armor Si and CalMag, RAW Yucca and HydroGuard. Also add in KoolBloom, Diamond Nectar, RapidStart, EC 1150 +/- 100 depending on growth stage.
pH 5.7 - 6.5 I adjust reservoir to 5.7-8 when mixing/adding nutes and allow to rise to 6.4-5 before adjusting it again.
Problem: One of the Banana Kush plants has an odd (to me anyway) issue that is occuring on the fan leaves on one side of one branch of the plant. I cut off the first couple of leaves that showed this and inspected for pests to no avail.
So far, new growth that appears on that side of that branch seems normal, then this:
I think the plant will be fine. No need to kill it, I just wouldn’t breed it. Almost looks like light damage, or some sort of physical damage.
Either way, let her grow, and see how she does. You’ll know there’s a possibility of more weird growth as you continue. If it’s genetic, there’s just not much you can do about it.
Thanks for the response. Must be genetic . . . so far all new growth on that side of the branch does the same thing, opposing leaves are fine. New one on me, as suggested I’ll let her grow . . . unless it begins to spread.
My guess is something was spilled on that side maybe before the leaf opened up… I’ve never been there so it wasn’t me all funny aside I’m not sure what it is ,but everything else looks great
Nope, nothing spilled. New fan leaves on that side of that branch form and look good for a day or so, then start to die from the center of each leaflet. Guess I just thought I’d seen everything these crazy ass plants can do. Either way, I’m gonna let her go and see what she can do.
