Is this number is a bit low on Ph

@Aolelon that’s better news, I think my run off was more like 6.3. I don’t understand the other one that we’ll. Um, I was told I could do more light off like 14/6 … I’m trying to flower and it looks like it’s trying. They said it was a stain the requires it to be more like gall to bloom. Is that true, and should I do that? I’m not trying to rush it along. I just want it to bud, kinda excited, never, ever have I ever done this or seen it done lol! Ty all sooooo much @Aolelon @anon35207245 @Sittingbull64 @Countryboyjvd1971 @Josh1126 @Growit @blackthumbbetty @Not2SureYet and more anyone else think that’s not good friend advice?

I meant 14/10

You need to keep it 12/12 or it wont flower. If you mess with the light schedule it will just delay the process.

Your plant looks healthy
I would not worry too much about tds at this point as your are using tap water
Tds measurements seem to be of more concern to hydroponic systems
If you are that concerned about tds readings than get an R/O if you do not have an R/O your tds numbers will not improve.
My tds is between 450 and 500
I have had no deficiencies or salts build up issues
You just need to pH your water and nutes and pay attention to your light distance ans soil moisture
Your temps seem within range and humidity is ok
Do not over think it especially if this is your first grow. Try not to do too much
Keep it simple less is more

As @Aolelon said switch to 12/12 if you want flower
How long has she been vegging?

Ditch the probe they are notoriously unreliable

Nope no signs of flowering yet still way too early to tell

I agree with @growit and @aolelon, put her on 12/12 and sit back and enjoy…it will happen and yes your gonna be chezzing like you just smoked a bowl of northern lights! Lol…happy for you @Jamie1234!

I disagree completely with the idea of using a soil meter as a standard for any offset
When I first started gardening I used several of these in close proximity of each other and they all read different
They are complete garbage and not worth the money or time and frustration you will experience trying to chase problems that aren’t there or cause deficiencies from basing your numbers on an unreliable denominator

As said, when you have a known “control” such as water you have checked with a calibrated pen you know what offset is necessary if you can’t adjust it.

It’s an indication, like a standard lux meter is only an indication and is not accurate with LED lights, It is a tool to use to aid you and not to use as the sole measurement.

IF you read what I had said to him, you would see you have things back to front, the calibrated pen reading is used to give you an “actual” ph so you can see what offset, if any, is needed regarding the probe…

You can get meters that are accurate for LED you just have to purchase them and make sure they include LED lights. But you said standard so yea

Yes, you can get more “specialist” lux meters for LED’s but there is a cost. It all depends on how anal you want to get with your measuring whilst bearing in mind that a weed plant has quite a wide parameter spread for what is “good” for it, you don’t need to be PRECISELY “x” ph, “y” EC and “z” lighting levels and, with me anyway, fussing too much about these things only stresses you and is more likely to mean over or under doing something and that constant faffing around is more likely to lead to disaster.

As I have proven with my record of failures.

They’re actually not much more expensive. You just have to make sure that it includes LED. I was going to buy one and priced a few.

Depends on what you class as “not much more expensive” as I know how much my lux meter cost me, and it was actually calibrated properly as per the claim because I got one of my old employers to check it with his much more expensive “professional” kit.

So my 10 buck meter was actually reading properly as per what was claimed, just not for LED’s. Somehow I think one for LED’s would cost a tad more than 10 bucks…

Well I’m going to buy a decent meter so 70$-130$ is the price range I was looking at. But I know there are some cheaper around 40-50$

Still disagree
Your control numbers would be your run off number verses your number going in
The probe is not needed and should not be used at all in your figures
Too unreliable

What you think is entirely up to you, especially as you don’t always water to run off, like with seedlings.

Fact of the matter is you can still get a very reasonable indication of what is going on, no matter what you think it is still a tool which can be used to give you an idea of what is going on, but don’t let that hold you back.

I just hate to see new growers get bad advice
Most experienced growers here agree that those probes are so unreliable that the cause more confusion and problems than they help
Agree to disagree
Happy growing dude

Sweet, ok…that I can do lol @Growit how often should I water and nutes a week? I’ve not used a whole lot since I got them about three weeks ago. I’ve only put in the two for vegg so far, and how far into seeing flowering do I start Tiger FF? If you don’t mind

thank you
