Hi all. I am growing ilgm maui wowie. I see no one that is growing this strain. am I missing something good. I grew this because I remember the great high in the 70’s. I hope it is even better. Anyone know?

Far better than the Maui I smoked in the 70s, but back then all we could get was seeded weed. Sinsemilla (feminized, or unseeded) was a rare find for us back then.

I have 5 of the Maui wowie growing right now, 3 outside and 2 in my tent. These are my third time around growing this strain. It’s my go to during the day smoke. This weed is far better now than the Maui in the 70’s. It’s been easy to grow both in and out, I should say out so far has been easy. First time growing outside, experiment that has gone really well. Tall one on right of outside is a Maui as well are the 2 up front. right back 2 in the tent.

i was in maui in the late 70s, brought some back to ohio, 2 joints, 5 people, 1 got sick, 2 never got off the couch, my x wife and i just laughfed and laughfed, one of the best buzzes, im just starting inside grow , and am going to get some autogrow maui, and try bannana kush, sure loved that maui buxx, was in late 20s then cant wait to see what it does to this old body, good luck

@Bossman69 Hi there. so glad to hear someone else growing my old 70’s fav.
this is my first grow ever. I just hope mine are ok. you probably read that I had a couple bad lights. tried to go cheap. don’t know why I bothered. u get what you pay for. better light now but too many plants in tent. I think someone said I am going to have loose buds. 
. Next time I will do better. these are my girls now. day 25 ish flower.
in my pics the buds look nice, but really they are skinny and not so stacked looking

Maui wowie harvest: 6 oz. 2 plants. Dried to 12 on moisture meter. trimmed and put in grove bags…RUT RO. rh is only 49 to 53% What the heck. last grow was dandy and still at 61% after months.
Nice harvest…I think that you may like the buzz. Smooth tasting…I vape to taste all the flavors to this bud… great growing

Back in 70s this was premium weed. Decades later, still premium, but a much better premium. lol
I just harvested mine. Indoor grow, small tent, 2 plants, scrogged. They’re hanging upside-down now in the basement. Owing to impatience, I dried a bud in the food dehydrator, and did a bong hit the other night and was too high for a good hour. To be honest, I don’t get this indica vs sativa, day vs night, “energetic” vs couch-lock thing at all. The Maui Wowie (90% sativa) feels no different to me from my Gradndaddy Purple (100% indica).
Well, maybe I laughed more at Moone Boy than usual, but it’s a funny show .
