Hey, I think its time to start 2 week flush in soil? Maybe a bit over done. Advice?
Have you got a full plant pic and a bud shot ?
Those all appear to be on leaves.
Which also show amber about 2 weeks before the buds themselves do.
Edit : I don’t flush per se. Water only the last week or so.
Only flush when I see a problem and then more just a reset tor the roots with an amended feed.
Are these any better? We got some nute burn. So thats the curling

Hey @Tdh3712 ,
There are 2 conditions to a bud being ripe.
1 - All the white pistils need to turn brown and curl up. There may be a few random white ones here and there but 98% should be browned.
2- The trichomes should all be cloudy and some should be starting to amber. How much amber is up to you. Some don’t want any and others want 5, 10, or 20% amber.
Trichomes on the flower buds and not the sugar leaves is what you check. Flowers of course have the pistils coming out of them.
Based on just the pics I see there is a few weeks left for the pistils to die back and turn brown. Might take another week or two past that to see some amber develop on the flowers.
Flushing has been shown to be of no effect in the final product. You can stop feeding when you get close to harvesting to save the nutrients for another grow or you can go ahead and feed right up to the day you chop. It will make no difference in the final product. Some still flush anyway, I quit feeding just because I dont see the need to use the nutrients and I let the plant pull the food from old leaves and let it yellow.
I had a target harvest date of 16 june. (two weeks tomorrow). So was going to stop feeding and just start water from tomorrow. Should I do one last feed then and move the target date to 23 june?
If you are basing that on how long the breeder says the plant takes to finish you should know those are estimates and are almost always way too short. Under perfect controlled conditions they come up with those estimates and usually are not obtainable by the average grower. I would just carry on feeding as you have been until you see all the pistils die back. Then start watching the trichomes. I have seen cloudy trichomes very early in the flowering stage and you cannot rely on that alone. Once you see all the pistils die and few to no new ones then stop feeding if you wish.
Don’t try to pick a date to harvest. The plant will be ready on its own terms. Cannabis is unpredictable that way.
Thanks. Its difficult to know where I am. Being autistic as well. Im like “I need a plan.” I was also planning on drilling the stalk to stress it for resin production. Being patient is easy enough im just not good at having no plan/schedule lol
All of those “Extra Resin” techniques have pretty much been abandoned by growers here. There has been nothing to show any benefit to them.
Giving the plant the best conditions from start to finish is the best way to get the most out of it…
Your plants look great so just keep on with whatever you are doing.
Thanks its my first grow. I think I did ok. Its slightly stunted because I was over feeding but I did a full flush and brough PPM back in line. Ive taken off most of the burnt leaves but left some cause I didn’t want to remove all the solar panels. All in all im happy and ive learned a lot for my next go. So hopefully next time I do better
Well said @Spiney_norman
