yes, they will grow as normal, with 1 main Cola, and smaller bud sights around the lower branches…
If you do decide to top and mess up, congrats, you probably just FiM’d them.

If you don’t top you will get only one fat bud and many smaller ones… If you top your plants you will get many fat buds… Is your choice
And if you top your plants you can increase your yield… More productive.

Don’t Be nervous about topping it is very easy to do and hard to mess it up. You can choose not to top but will most likely have a better yeild if you top or fim it.
I was nervous my first grow as well but once I topped them I realized it was no sweat.

Hi. I to have a question about topping? I have never once topped a plant in eight yrs of growing outside. I just never thought about it. This is my first time buying online and reading, following other growers. So, am i reading this correctly? If i top my plant not only will it grow two, or four new shoots, this will not hurt my yield and grow cycle? This could actually help my yield? Did i ask this question correctly?

@sweetervest lol yes you asked it right and yes the guy’s who grow indoors use topping or fimming to control height and still get the yield of a larger outdoor grow. Some guy’s have done things like a outdoor scrog . I have tried both and the fimming seemed to work the best for me . My suggestion would be top or fimm one and not the others for a grow and see if you like it . This is a plant that was fimmed
all those colas are off two plants and this is the buds that came off of them

Awesome. Thank you. Seriously, thank you! I have eighteen girls outside in my garden and for the first time ever i am going to try this. I think i am excited to see what happens. I’m going to try six of them. I’m not to sure what the difference is between topping and fimming? I guess I’m about to find out.
As soon as i can figure out how to post correctly i will show some pictures of where i am at.

I don’t think I’ve read this at all. But if they are autos make sure you do it Early. Never know when they will start to flower. WWA topped once.

Your plant will be fine if not topped
You grow one main cola that will form into on large bud
topping keeps plants shorter and bushier and is used by most indoor growers to control hieght of plants
It will also increase your yield but you will have smaller buds over all just more of them

thanks for the info. i have another question if you feel like giving an answer,
Fertilizer. we’re in the third or fourth week of flowering and my plants have never look so good, so green, and so healthy. i am very happy with this years outcome so far. Should i even worry about fertilizing in this stage? I have in the past but to say it again, this year i did a lot correct and my plants are healthy and are doing well! I would like to keep giving them the best chance for the best outcome. What would your opinion be? Small low doses of fertilizer or just go with what i have now? This is all an experiment, a collective of knowledge, which carry’s over to the next year. This is why im asking for other opinions. If yes, “fertilizing” what NPK would be in the right realm without over doing it? Last year i burnt my plants and had a good two to four weeks of recovery. " wasted time!" Thanks
