it’s still showing that it’s 82 humidity in the tent but before the power went out I had grow tent close with still ventilation for them every time I’ve put a.c.on and check the girls after and the humidity goes down @Budz
Air conditioners will remove moisture. But all the time it wasn’t running everything was collecting moisture. Even if you use a good dehumidifier it usually takes a couple-few days for the dehumidifier to pull all the moisture wicking out of any wood or fabric. As the air dries they’ll start to dry. Lot of people don’t know that it seems. It’s the reason wood swells.
You could attempt to use some charcoal briquettes, was what I did for a short period. Had a container inside tent and filled the exhaust filter with them. They didn’t seem to make a drastic difference. But they never would light after. So I know they absorbed a good amount of moisture for me.
thank you for letting me know that is it just regular charcoal that I’m use ? yea cause I just shut ac off and humidity is going to 78 @Budz
Yeah that’s what I tried. If going to buy I’d go cheap. Reason for the plastic on the inside of the paper in charcoal bags. Moist bricks don’t light. Plus anything instant light means it’s already got some extra oils in it. So it won’t be able to absorb as much. Although as I said. It didn’t make a noticable difference when I tried it. Just made the charcoal unusable. Lol
I understand what your talking about umm you think I should connect filter inside with air fan i have filter out from grow tent and air fan inside
do you think that would make a difference the only reason why I put it like that was not sure if I did it the opposite way it will smell a lot in my apartment wasn’t too sure what do you think ?? @Budz and have a good Labor Day @Budz
I blow out my filter same as you. Easier on the fans. Although in the current phase of growth there’s probably not much smell.
I would remove the precleaner. It doesn’t help when you blow through. Only when you suck in.
Unless you are bringing fresh air to the top of the tent. Which would explain some problems.
Either way, push or pull. the filter will do it’s job. But always want air intake at the bottom of tent and exhaust at top. Preferably, primarily on opposite corners. So you can create a cross movement. I modified my flaps.
hey thank you again I really appreciate the help I have bottomed flap open and one on top is open also should I move my top fan towards the bottom too have fans pushing the air up and out correct? @Budz
Inside fans for circulation… don’t over wiggle the leaves. You should ONLY have one to two lower vents accessible to air without chance of light getting in at all times. If one. On the opposite side of your inline fan that is moving air outside of the tent. Your inline can work in one of two ways. It’s much more effective and makes the fan last longer than otherwise if you create negative pressure. Suction. Your inline should be the only fan or opening used at top of tent blowing out. Any vent at the top open would hurt.if you don’t have an inline removing air from the tent you cannot use a carbon filter. You will not have enough airflow to keep the plants healthy. My filter is outside my tent. But the fan blows out of it. Doesn’t pull through it. Which is why I asked you about your precleaner. Because you are 100% undermining the filter one way or the other. If you leave the precleaner on while trying to blow out of the filter you may aswell put more on and suck through. Either way your gonna cause uneven dirtyness in filter… The #1 job of your inline is air exchange and cooling. If it’s not forcing air out the tent at the top, it’s being used wrong. That’s really all there is. I’ll draw something. I’m absolutely horrible at drawing. But… concept.
Humidity likes to grab heat. Heat rises.
hey thank you again I am able too control the humidity I did what you stated and it work too keep it down too around 65 but I noticed it climbs up and down
let me know if you think they look bad @Budz
Gotta give them some time. My humidity often climbs to 65 even in flower when the lights off this time of year.
it’s crazy and I’m stressing that with humidity going high and then will mess this yield up for me I have too water them tonight @Budz
hey I have another question when do I switch light pattern from 18-6 too 12-12 how many weeks in do I have too change?? @Budz
Honestly I’d change to 12/12 as soon as they are healthy. They’re already pretty big. Indica dominant strains will double in height after flip. Some sativas can triple or more.
I would make sure they aren’t heavy before I water though. The high humidity means your vpd was way off so your medium may still be plenty moist. Because she is still showing signs of too much moisture. Wouldn’t add more yet.
Edit. So pick up the pots. If they feel empty water them. If unsure swing them. If they hold momentum don’t water yet. You’ll feel the water in the soil through momentum.
thank you I will do so I’ll try and flip them wen they looked more healthier and I did swing them they were pretty dry @Budz
For sure. I thought I flipped my current girls early, even with topping. The four mains on one of them doesn’t seem to want to stop. I think she may have now. But I couldn’t possibly raise the light more. Lol.
Last one is about the around time I flipped. Maybe a week after.
Light is now ~5’5" high. Her sister stopped days ago. Which I think her sister would make for a better sog. Her for a better “kraken”. The amazing difference in phenotypes from the same parents
they look real good yea I’m having the same issues with my light I have too raised a little more they are touching with the flipping does it slow the plants cycle down and stops growing?? @Budz
I see you have fly tape in the bottom of your tent. I was thinking fly paper . Darn bugs.
You flip them when they are under half the height you want. After you switch to 12/12 they will double in height. If you are already reaching limits. Top them down to 3-4 remaining nodes before flip. Give them a week after topping to heal before flipping. Because after flip. You can’t top. You can only train or supercrop.
My girls are all topped with 4 remaining nodes pre flip.
You remove the terminal shoot. How many ever nodes are left x2 is how many potential terminal shoots will take its place. While two grow in its place, basics of topping. Doesn’t mean you can’t manipulate that.
Was my second grow. One plant. That is the pheno @Low deemed the kraken. He might be able to explain some stuff better than me. Hence the tag in.
. After flip they will stretch 2-3 weeks. Potentially longer it seems maybe possible with that one blue dream… Lol
Point being. Yes they will stop. Once they decide their flower stretch is done, which doesn’t start till after flip. After which they fatten till finish
