ILGM Hydro schedule for seedlings is confusing me

I don’t understand why I use less fertilizer the second week of seedling, but have a higher PPM. Are weeks one and two backwards?

I would say because in hydro you don’t want to flush in the first couple weeks until roots get established. So week 1 you are introducing the plant to fertilizer week two you are adding to bring the ppm up slightly more.
I have never used that fertilizer but the same concept for GH

So you are saying to simply add more the second week, not change the water?

If not, the problem is, there is more added the first week (1/2 tsp at 500 PPM) than the second week. The second shows only 1/3 tsp but somehow a PPM of 600. I am guessing that’s it’s supposed to be 1/3 tsp and 500 PPM the first week and 1/2 and 600 PPM the second. (this is all moot if you aren’t supposed to change the water I guess)

Let me tag @Retiredoldguy let’s get his opinion also. I know how I grow but he is better at advice.

So what all are you using for your grow. Such as lights, tent, root treatment, and etc. I know when I first started in 2019 I had a constant supply of boxes arriving. pH up pH down etc.

I’m using a Spider Tent (4’X2’) and Spider SE 4500 lights along with a 4" fan and filter from Spider. This is my second grow. I bought the ILGM fertilizer but sort of forgot about it and used General Hydroponics FloraSeries the first grow. I decided I would try this since I already purchased it and it looks really easy to mix instead of the multiple other bottles. Wasn’t a big deal but this will be easier. I’m using Botanicare Hydroguard for the root protection. Thanks!!

Theres definitely something not right with the numbers on the schedule period.
It says .6gr per gallon = 500ppm then says .4gr per gallon = 600ppm.

It dose say at the bottom as a disclaimer that the actual numbers may not be exact but it should be proportional

That has to be a typo

I started using those nutes my first grow, and switched to Jacks321 a week into it because it’s just too much changing and tracking and I’m lazy lol. Jacks321 I run the same from start to finish, no variation at all. Might be easier than trying to chase their numbers. Happy growing :call_me_hand:t2:

I use Advanced Nutrients pH perfect trio. But can’t use hydroguard, have to use. U C Roots.

Has the mix calculator on website. But in hydro using advanced Nutrients a photoperiod gets full strength and an auto get half strength.

Happy growing.

I believe there is a typo. Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

@Olaf.ILGM can you take a look at feeding schedule in post 1.

I believe it is a typo as previous stated…

Thanks to all for the assistance!! I was pretty confident it had to be a typo but wanted to be sure as I’m still really new.

and since you are new… don’t get caught up on exact feeding numbers…

I am not really sure what you mean by that. Are you referring to the PPM? There is only the one concentrate at a time being used with this particular nute.

yes ppm or ec… if the schedule says it should be 700ppm it can be somewhere around it and will vary based on your plant and your grow style..

It says .6 gr per liter, not gallon. First and second week appear to be reversed…..
