Ideal tent size for 6 plant scrog

Wlthe biggest lesson I’ve learned in always watch your pH. Test the water going in as well as the run off. 6.5 is the ideal level. The rest comes down to soil quality, lighting (35-50 watts per square foot), and fertilizer. Feel free to tag me whenever. I’m always happy to talk about growing.

Thanks… Will do… I’m gonna post pics this weekend, I’ll tag you in on them

You two guy with your dog faces just made me laugh
Reading to posts it looks like they are having a conversation hahahahh

Hi! I have a 4x4x6.5 tent with six plants, 4 are in 3 gal bags and one in 5 gal bag and 1 seedling (growing slow). I don’t know what I’m doing yet, but if I have to transplant in bigger bags, that what I’ll do. Wanted to scrog but think it’s too many plants. Really don’t know anything right now, just letting girls grow!!

Hi @bonnie1 & welcome to this forum.
Are the plants auto flowering or photo,
If they’re auto flowering, then 3 gallon bags are fine.
Photo plants may need 5 gallons.
What type of soil are you using?
Lighting? (LED, CFL, HID?)
You will need a PH tester to check your water & soil’s PH.
I own this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YBUH4RC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Target lighting regardless of type is 35-50 watts per square foot. Your tent is 4x4, so SQ footage is 16.
16 x 35 = 560 watts. In my opinion, more watts the better.

There is a lot to learn & it can feel overwhelming, but just enjoy the ride.
I hope to learn from each of my grows & get better every time.

Feel free to tag me in your grow journal, if you plan to keep one.
A journal does help, as it will be a good reference guide for future grows & keep track of watering schedules & nutrient feedings.

I look forward to seeing your progress & happy growing!

@bonnie1
I’d say you have too many plants to do this time around with that tent size o have a 4x4x7 tent with four plants under a scrog screen and that’s to many i will not do more than two and most likely just one next time it’s such an effective method
I have one under a screen outside that’s 8 feet long and 3 feet wide and it’s starting to filling up the whole screen and will before harvest I’m sure
So if it where me knowing what I do now I would hold off on a scrog grow Finish off this grow with just some training techniques and learn about growing MJ since it’s your first grow you will run into trouble I’m sure I think we all did :+1: out first time
As far as pot sizes it may be beneficial to keep the smaller pots for now since you have 6 plants in a 4x4x6.5 it’s going to get crowded @bonnie1
Happy growing CB

I know. I didn’t think they would all make it. I’m going to harvest one plant early maybe? I don’t know how to really, just put it into flower early I guess. Have a lot of reading to do while in veg. They look great and starting to smell already. I’ll probably run into problems but I hope not. I’m going to use a spare room for one plant, I’ll work it out. As of late, haven’t had any mj, so really wish could grow great plants and harvest one early.

I have journals and my grow, transplant topic is Easter Babies. I’m already set with ffof soil, 600w LED, getting one more 300w for flowering stage. My ph meter was expensive and works fantastic. Ph is always around 6.5. I’ll work it all out and confident I can grow some good mj plants. I started my girls too early with unpredictable temps and didn’t expect them all to survive but they did! I’m getting nutes right now and plants are ready to grow! When I move things around in tent I’ll take pic, also when weather stops sucking!! Have a great memorial weekend, it’s a washout here, except for Saturday :grinning:

Buds are swelling up…I need patience.

Discovered spider mites this weekend, so I;m treating with Bug Blaster spray.
Picking up Mighty Wash today as well. No webbing yet, so hopefully I’ve addressed it early enough.
Hoping my yield isn’t effected.
