Everyone a friend of mine has talked to says outdoor porch lights and yard lights can affect your plants. They say that it can turn them into hermorphidites.( I don’t know if I spelled that right my spell checker isn’t working right on this pc) now were talking about a 60 watt bulb thirty feet away and if the other lights are on it another 60 watt each about fifteen feet away. Please help! he’s worried/ If they do what kind or color of light can be on at night if needed to go outside?
He actually is correct - during flowering you need it dark 12 on and 12 off - If you plants are sitting under the porch lights they will get confused - - i do think you can use a Black Light bulb and that is ok?
My suggestion is put them behind a Black Screen of some sort - So they cant see the light -
I believe you would want to me as a green build since they don’t use the green spectrum of light
You can also purchase a sun shade screen to block the porch light at night and lower it during the day
I got a roll on Amazon blocks 90% light
