It sounds worth it to me!

Allow people to make a list of products they’d want in the future. You can also add referral links to those.

Like let them bookmark it so they can see it’s price and their total price goal.

@LobCob Welcome to the community!

Right now the app has a ā€œNotesā€ section. In a note you can color code notes, add picture to a mite, and add urls to a note. It is a bit buggy right now… So after I complete the Celsius temp Programming under "VPD"s heatmap chart… I am going to get that debugged.

@LobCob thank you for the input!

Neither was the case, he quit logging in on his own free will. If I remember correctly, he was upset that someone disagreed with him on the internet. Kind of snowballed from there, but it definitely wasn’t because we banned him or told him to leave.

PhotoFinisH is right though, this was more complicated than the subject matter expert tried to relay. I think being aware of vapor pressure deficit, having a target, and understanding the issues related to being significantly off is important. But you don’t need to maintain a pinpoint accurate vpd to have a successful grow either.

@dbrn32 Exactly my thoughts… My apps tools are accurate but provide that buffer ranges that makes it more useful to casual growers. If someone wanted precision, it’s there. More specifically for the VPD… I am also pretty loose on my settings for that… My DLI I check often enough that weekly charting helps me more.

@PhotoFinisH also try and remember this app was to make my life easier… It has grown since I’ve shared it on here… Way more features now…

I am always interested in hearing opinions or ideas. If someone find something wrong… I just ask people to be kind… After all… If it gets to playstore I plan on taking care of helpers… It is the right thing to do… Too a point.

Nicky left due to a disagreement we had. He got mad at me for not wanting to use his charts. Went ballistric on me and said he was leaving for good due to the stupidity on this site. There you have it.

@Bonjoyle Thank you for the information… Luckily he never snapped at me… However, he did consistently push his chart. For sure!

Either way, I didn’t mean to bring up old wounds. You truly didn’t deserve his attitude.

I was just listing the reasons why I had a pause in work on the app. Just happens he was… Interested, and contributed. That little bit of interest drove me. Plus, I do try to pay back those who helped me…especially if I would eventually profit from it…cannot do that now… My ocd… Is screaming. Of those reasons I listed… he was obviously on the bottom of the list… But notable.

The app programming and interaction kept my mind off all the death.

I saw the back and forth and the concern for his well being which is why I chimed in. I am an older guy so I was not offended by him or his attitude. Just wanted to make sure you all did not think something bad happened to him.
My heart goes out to you with all I read above. Death is one of the hardest parts of life I deal with as well. My son committed suicide a few years back which killed me. He was such a good dad to my Grandbaby. Now me n the wife are taking care of her. I get it buddy. You take care and keep working on the app. I was following for quite awhile. Some of your discussions were pretty in depth and I always felt smarter after having read your convo. Just not smart enough to contribute. Peace out!!

@Bonjoyle thank you for the kind words.

I am truly sorry about your son. Losing someone is obviously hard, suddenly though… Is a whole different experience…

I truly hope you have a great day!

Finally getting motivated again… Will hopefully get this completed in the next couple of weeks.

Worked out a couple bugs.

Fixed the save button in the ā€œnotesā€ section as well as the ā€œdelete a noteā€ function… It no longer crashes the app back to ā€œhomeā€

But… Still having issues with adding pictures to notes.

I think it’s due to Android 14+, I originally started designing this app in 11 then updated to 12 and 13…but 14+ has different permissions to code.

Going to take a break out of frustration… Gonna try to finish the Celsius reading function on the VPD chart. Fahrenheit is almost done. Still have to fix the legend on the chart and the current offset isn’t showing a minus sign or plus sign in front of it.

I am an apple user so not sure input from me helps. That stated, I am growing in VPD mode and can offer real data based on the data environment in the tent. I fool around with light, humidity, and fan settings to optimize. I’ll provide data if you think it’s useful to progress your project.

Just wanted to jump in and say I had an ole Sinclair, the ZX 81. Even had the 16k memory cartridge. Everything saved to cassette. All in basic.

@Flatnut Very cool… Timex Sinclair 1000 was my first school computer. Was the computer club president in 5th grade… About 1982-3ish.

Parents ultimately bought a Texas Instruments Ti994a… Had speach synthesizer, cassette deck, extended basic cartridge. Created many games!

this is the reason I am burned out on the Celsius part of the vpd charting:

original Fahrenheit code:

what I must change it to:

it’s not a big change…just has to be done in a bunch of places.

the humidity goes by 2s…the temp goes by 1C starting at 11C thru to 40C…so each humidity has 29 areas to be corrected/changed to be Celsius.

I should have done this more simple from the beginning…it is what it is…eventually I will recode it to be more simple…just want to get it working perfectly first.

Once I get through with the changes…I have one more bug in the ā€œnotesā€ area and the app should be finished…then I just need to come up with a new app name.

I’m pulling for ya Dank. Gotta say, I look at those screenshots and it looks the same when I took Java and C+ . It was over my head but these young ones I was in class with it was intuitive. Lol! I made it thru those classes with help

Thanks @T-ray

Java and C+ are very similar.

Been coding since 1982…basic language… Then visual basic in the late 90s early 2000s.

That made learning Java and c+ soo much easier.

I prefer to code Java for android… C+ for windows and games.

I went back to school in 2010…Kids just don’t have the same respect for the basics… Like drafting… We had to draw on a board… When CAD came out… School only had a couple of sears of Autocad 10…so you had to wait… And earn your place on a computer.

Now… Kids skip board drawing completely… Are taught SolidWorks… But emphasis on small design trees rather than design principles…
