How to fix dumb

Welcome to the community Growmie. 1st appearance is nutrient toxicity looking at the dark waxy curled leaves. Even the lighter colored leaves could be starving for nutrient if it’s locked out. A support ticket would give the community a better perspective on what’s going on :love_you_gesture:

What would you do to fix. Just looking for ideas should I just give plan water for a while

Welcome to growers central. Im not the doctor, just observing, i was curious as to the distance from the light to the plant.

Ok I have two grows going here I started two plants in dirt and later got the hydro system going. All seemed to be good until about three weeks ago. The dirt plants first water the small plant every third day using ilgm flowering stage 3 I cut back to 1/2 dose. Runoff water ppm 783 ec 1.69 and today I got a ph 10.2. The tall one drinks 2 1/2 quart every other day of water using ilgm same dose as the small plant runoff ppm1648 ec 2.88 and ph 10.9. I just started talking these reading about a week ago. The hydro plants are 74 days old the plants in dirt are 110 days old. Ppm 1440 ec 2.7 water temp 80.2 they are on a 15 fill and 15 drain right now. I had them on a 30 minute fill and 15 minutes drain but thought they were getting to much water The plants seem to be losing the strength to hold their limbs and even stand

Light is a 1000 watts I have them on a 12/12 cycle and not sure what to do with the lighting. I know how they should have been getting much more light. I thought about changing but afraid to do anything else right now. Anyone have an idea of “WHAT” to do to save this grow.

@Oldcatman

What is the power used, not the named wattage? Looking for input watts. Marketing BS is epidemic in the grow lighting industry.

Can you post a link to the actual unit and/or where you got it?

I am trying to upload the info

The PH of 10.2 is excessive for any medium and if that’s a true reading I would flush these that are in in soil. It’s going to take 3 times the pot size and shoot for 6.5. The 80 degrees on the hydro is high and should be around 68. The light you’re running is HPS? :love_you_gesture:

Welcome to the community , my 1st thoughts seeing a 10.9 PH reading would be Verify ph meter in a fresh clean bottle of 7 ph solution.
What kind of PH meter are you using ?
Good luck :v::+1:

Ok my ph meter crashed checked with my old one and seems to be about 7. And you think I should transplant both in to bigger pots. That’s scary considering their size. What about the light would you increase the number of hours it’s on I am still on 12/12 do you think it would do any more harm and I am also thinking of topping the tall one again. They won’t stop growing

I’m no help with hydro or HPS.
Dirt ph should le less than 7.0. Ideally around 6.5.
I’d try to get that down by running some 6.2 plain water and, especially the lower ppm one, feed at 6.5 ppm 900 - 1000

Wow, 16 years old!!

Is that metal halide or incandescent or LED???

1000 real watts. Cool

Looks like a 1000w hps. Flower a 5x5 with that bad boy.

Welcome to the community :blush::v:

@OGIncognito was referring to how much water you need to flush with. Three times however many gallons your pot is. If they’re 3 gallons, flush with nine for example.

Thank you for the help. My ph meter was wrong. Used my old one and got a 7 on run off. But I am thinking about flushing them both

I also have high ph, probably from using wood ashes in my soil. I also have the droopy super-dark green leaves, some rolling and bending. Its looked that way going on two weeks now; three weeks ago I flipped to 12/12. Still they’re budding nicely and not dying.
I dont have burned looking top growth though - all green. But they’re 20" below an LED, high 28C low 18C, varying RH 45% to 60%, tons of airflow…
No diagnoses but maybe similar info to consider.
