How often should I cycle the water in a fill and drain hydro system

I have a 55 gal fill and drain hydro tank connected to six pots of clay pebbles. All goes well in each grow cycle until about the fourth or fifth week. Then I start having water problems. I seem to either give them too much water or not enough water. Is there any one out there that has the same system that will share their watering schedules with me.

I usually flood every 3 hrs the lights are on and once during lights off sense my pebbles are a little on thin side :metal::green_heart:

I flood for 10 minutes every 3 hours in veg and flood for 15 minutes every 2 hours in flower. I don’t flood the table when lights are off @Oldcatman

I didn’t know you were flood and drain, always thought you ran a RDWC. I should pay better attention :joy::joy::love_you_gesture:

Have an old Apollo 11 drip system and half dozen tables :sunglasses::metal::green_heart:
And don’t know how to use any of it :crazy_face::tada::man_dancing:
