How important is ph?

How important is ph? From what I’ve read it’s almost a need to check thing?. And how about parts per million? What’s all that about? Is there specific numbers they should land on? If am growing outdoors. How much light would my plant require so it vegs and how much would it need to flower? Would it even matter because I’m almost positive I ordered auto seeds. Some input would be awesome guys

Ph is very important for proper plant and root growth if ph is off plants won’t grow or can possibly die. Parts per million can be helpful to determine if your plant is eating or drinking and can be lots of help tracking severe problems.

Ph in hydro should be 5.8 ph in soil should be 6.8. Ppms for a small plant roughly 200-500 vegitative stage (aggressive and mild vegitative stage) should be any where from 600-900 and flowering plants any where from 1000-1500.

You’ll need Atleast 14 hours minimal to have them veg properly though with autoflowers you shouldn’t have to worry. (Of course id still recommend 14 hours of light at least.

Photoperiods require 12 hours of light for flowering, autos flower on their own when they sence they are sexually mature and able to “reproduce”

@Losro313 my pleasure happy growings

The ppm is very similar in soil feedings as well except that you track it via run off and adjust as needed
