How do I properly test soil and runoff, with a general hydroponics ph solution?

I got a general hydroponics pH solution and I want to test my soil and runoff on my plants. How do you guys do it? I tried doing it on my own. I couldn’t find any information on the internet pertaining to testing pH of soil and I couldn’t get it to be clear enough to really see the color reaction of the solution… Appreciate you guys…

In my opinion I would ditch the solution and get a pH meter like blue lab, Apera, etc.

Is the GH solution you’re referring to the calibration solution, if so that’s for calibrating your PH pen. 2 methods to testing medium PH. 1st is a simple run off test after watering or feeding catch a sample that runs out the bottom of the pot and test the PH. 2nd method and more accurate is a slurry test, this method is a little evasive but you take a sample down near the root zone and mix equal parts of soil to distilled water, stir and let that rest for an hour or so and strain through a coffee filter and test :love_you_gesture:
