Yanked it. Will be inspecting other 3 tonight when i water them. Hoping like hell it ws just the one. Upon looking at that plant it was all lower little branches that contained the pods. There was maybe 3 branches I found looking over it for a half hour. Just gonna set it outside and likely make hash or butter out of it. Ty for your speedy response. Really REALLY hope it is the only one.
So after talking with true north they said they have had this issue and it is poor genetics. I feel better knowing I didnât mess up and cause it to go hermie. It helped I could give them my entire feed schedule and information on soil, etc. I was actually blown away a company would admit it. Replacing my order free of charge
Thats good customer service!
So my led needs another foot of space. Looks like I am gonna upgrade to a 4x4. So after some observation I was able to finally see that I have been overburdening my plants with too much light. Kind of confused at 42k lux is around 1100 umol/s/m2 so it shouldnât but it is. 3 closest to the light have bleached leaves almost up to top of buds. My light must be just close enough to cause this over weeks! The plant furthest from lights height wise is fine without any discoloration. Note my led is around 35 inches from the top of the tallest bud. I wonder if the mylar really is causing so much reflection its burning my plants. If I read the par rating under this light with veg/bloom both on its hitting around 2k which I know it wayyyyy too much even with c02. However a lux meter reads 42k lux max at highest point.
It is kind of confusing how this light at that distance is blasting my leaves so bad but it is. I there anyone who can tell me I am crazy?!? The buds are loving the light but the leaves are gonna die if I donât dial back it seems. Am I wrong? Ph of all 3 are 6.7, 6.5, 6.9. PPM runoff is within normal ranges and shows plants are feeding. Temp has been 23-25 with lights on. RH has been managed with dehumidifier to 45-50 max lights on and around with temps around 20-22 55 max during lights out. Ive fed calmag back to back and it made no differenceThose yellow tips arenât on my shorter one either. Just hope I can let her rest up into week 6 and then just blast it for last two weeks of grow as I am gonna lose leaves to plant feeding off leaves. Can I do that??? At any rate I feel I have learned a shit load by making these errors. Just makes next grow a bit less daunting.
All Iâm seeing is a little nutrient burn on the tips, nothing to worry about. @Myfriendis410 and @dbrn32 are much more experienced than me, maybe theyâll see something Iâm not.
I think looks like nutrient issue too.
All four get fed the same thing at the same time. The short one is a nice green with no burnt tips and it actually has less soil than the other 3. I will let you know what happens here after next feed. I ordered my new 4 x 4 as I will use it next grow to have a bit more room to work. I believe you guys as you have way more experience than me. Real head scratcher why Id have any nutrient issue with ph as is and reg temps etc.
Maybe because I failed to use calmag earlier I have a iron deficiency leading to a lack of chlorophyll in the upper part of the plant and up into the buds. The leaves are noticeably lighter than lower half of plants. My concern was the rust spots on new growth. Patch here and there but thats how the lower leaves started. I do appreciate you guys tsking the time to look. Have a great day.
Doesnât mean anything. All 4 could and probably will have different nutrient needs and rates up uptake. Normal for everyone, shouldnât be a head scratcher.
Pretty normal for newer growth to come out a little lighter than older growth appears too. Especially if they are shoving out new growth at rapid pace. You may or may not have calcium or iron issue, but this wouldnât be determining factor. You are hitting part of grow where plants will be calcium hogs, so a little deficiency there makes sense.
Ok. Well thank you for your time. I wil not disagree and just do what I can to get this under control.
New 4 x 4 up and running inside an hour. Been flushing my pots ever since. Been 6 straight hours and will likely take atleast 2 more before bed at 4 am. But they really needed this. Looking good other than a few leaves dead down bottom no more than one might expect this far in. Kind of surprised that it isnât worse but thankful these plants are so hearty.
Buds have been swelling nicely. Although I know I made mistakes that cost them a few days of growth. Learning a lot, Like I shouldâve just bought the 4 x 4 tent in the first place haha. Canopy has a nice par rating of 1100. Will look at umol/s/m2 when lights come on tonight to ensure optimal lighting. What a difference it is to be able to have room to move around. 26 calendar days left but we will see what the plants say as we go. I have heard some LEDS take a week longer to finish guess we will find out.
Looks fantastic for what ever mistakes you made. Those buds look they are ready to explode!
Yeah I lost some size on week 4 for a few days but it bounced back. Really need to watch the plant and let her tell me what she needs not what I think she should have. Outdoors it seems as long as your soil is set and you got good sun and water supply its a set and forget almost. Indoor is so much more intensive but as a result I am learning more about this wonderful plant/medicine than I ever did outside.
Looking good! Iâm set to watch the rest of your journal
@dbrn32
I was wondering what you thought of SpiderFarm 4000 at 609 dollars CDN with shipping. Looking at the spectrum and the depth of each it seems like a steal of a deal at this price. It would be for a 4 x 4 tent. I heard you were the guy to speak too about lighting. Any thoughts are appreciated and thank you for your time.
Here is another. This is 630 cdn.

I donât promote spider farmer lights, but you can buy one if you feel thatâs where youâre getting the best value. The other would probably be alright, but those epistar 660âs are bottom of the barrel.
Yeah I was reading that scouring the net. I have talked to a few people since this post and it is a hard pass. Looking at the DIY Quantum boards now.
