Making some frames to raise the beds a bit. Last year some plants were on the small side because what I think was the fairly shallow root space. It wont hurt them if they have a little deeper spots.
Iâll be trying to adapt some KNF stuff in my gardening ventures. Today I was collecting leaf mold and microbes. Iâll put some jadam brewing and drench everything with it.
Is this the good stuff?
Wow Nice
@Budbrother iâll take that as a âitâs goodââŚ
All except the one on the right row in the middle are growing nicely.. can you see the empty one?
I popped a
because the last Forbidden Runtz I had didnât start either. It opened, if the root is a bit longer tomorrow in she goesâŚ
Oh boy, itâs getting busy in there. Awesome
Yikes! The forecast gives us cold weather for the rest of the month at least!
How long am I able to keep these girls in these 1,5 liter pots? I took a risk starting them so early but I donât want to throw them away eitherâŚ
Any suggestions?
Them babies are only 3-4 days old now so I have at least 2 weeks⌠just hope the temperatures take a turn before they get rootboundâŚ
I have plants 2â tall in 1500ml pots. Donât think youâll have to worry
@Budbrother thanks mate, looks like Iâm going to have more issues fitting the canopy than the roots⌠well, have to work with what I got.
I got greedy and decided to plant in two waves instead of 3, having had a coyple of really warm days and trusting some mambo jambo forecast of extra warm May⌠you live and you learn!
Today was a productive day: first I got the ducting parts in the mail, now both tents vent straigt outta growroom.
Then for the evening chore I was mining for gold, black gold I mean. I screened my last summers hot compost(or part of it) and got some pretty good looking stuff from it:
Double screening:
Final product:
Im not ashamed to say it, that is some beautiful stuff growmie. My last years compost is almost finished.
@Happyday420 Thank you my friend! I must have had those gold fever-eyes on me when I saw how well the compost yielded!
I sieved two wheelbarrows and got a 15 gallon drum full of the good stuff! And there is still pkenty more in the pile.
Really feels good to see all the work from last summer pay offâŚ
Day 9 I think for most of these girls⌠very thin stems still, they keep on falling down but I keep propping them up. Iâm not too worried about that, as long as the leaves are growing the stems will thicken too.
This one shows a weird discoloration and maybe stunted grow, what could be the cause for this??
Oh and there is a very noticeable difference in growth if you look at the milk cartons in the front compared to the plastic pots. I really would like to know what causes this?
More than likely an elevated pH causing the iron def.
@Budbrother So there must be some lump in the soil with a different pH? Anything I could try to do?
Test ph. Then can troubleshoot.
I donât really have the means to check soil pH except for the slurry method. And these seedlings being in the small pots I donât want to scoop up soil for the test and disturb the little root.
This occurred in only one of the seedlings so it must be some freak event and I still have 31 besides this one in this batch.
Having alot of spring time chores on my plate I find it easier to just wait and see what comes of it and sxrap her if necessary.
I made a desicion to NOT transplant any runts for my outdoor grow this year.
Of course this would be a great learning opportunity but unfortunnately I have to prioritise my choresâŚ
