I am going to be purchasing a Hlg 550 v2 rspec to replace mt 600w HID system. I am currently running a 6in 390 cfm in line fan with a sealed, air cooled hood. I currently have NO heat issues at all, usually run about 75-77 degrees F. In my tent. I plan on putting a 6in fan blowing on the top (driver) and still running my inline with filter to draw smell and heat from the top of the tent. So. My question to any I ne currently running this hlg, do you see me having any problems controlling heat? Thanks in advance for your response/responses!!!
If you are replacing a HID system you should have less heat. You can put the driver outside the tent to mitigate the heat it puts off if it becomes necessary.

Sounds like a solid management plan for airflow and heat management. You should have no issues with that light in your grow space.

Thanks for your quick responses guys! I am super stoked to get this fixture running! I have pretty good results with the HID with a hortilux, can’t wait to see the difference. I’m gonna run some blackberry kush and some strawberry cough, ill post some pics along the way! Thanks again!

Yeah, from everything EVERYONE says about them, I think I will too. I have been holding off on doing the led switch mainly due to the price but I’m tired of waiting and am jumping on the bandwagon if you will lol.
Yeah, from what I gather ill be loosing about 300 BTU switching from the HID. Should be noticeable in a 5x5.

You’ll also see it on the electric bill. You’ll be running that 550 at 1/2 power for most of your grow.
