LOL! We don’t want to repeat last evening.
I think there may be a plant - fetish site for this kinda stuff.
@Pet_de_Chien - I’m glad you picked up on the innuendo.
I told you all, I enjoy the odd humor. It’s my forte.
I seriously didn’t even catch that… half medicated
I was a bit disappointed with you BigItch…but you’ve learned!
So, back to business, as promised @BigItch, I measured the girls (and you can see the pipe cleaners in the photos):
AK47 height:
White Widow height:
White LSD height:
You are doing excellent… those aren’t even pistols yet… That just her showing sex, you now have a chic instead of a teenager. Train and those are gonna be lovely. More obvious stinky
Imma drop some pics in my thread I’ll tag you so you can see what I’m doing…
Doh! I was thinking that the white strands were pistils. My bad! I’m learning according to the stage of growth. And yes, they are getting a bit more stanky (even with the carbon filter)!
Are you happy with my first training (using my pipe cleaners)?
It looks nice for a first try… imma drop your pic back at you with a couple more suggestions to spread her out.
Thank you @BigItch! Nothing wrong with spreading the girls (according to this site, they enjoy it). I’ll follow your recommendations. The AK47 is a bit bushy (who hasn’t seen that). She might need a trim.
@BigItch, you’re gonna get me kicked off this site, LOL! I haven’t laughed this hard in a long time!!
By all means give her a shave, she’s obviously not gonna do it herself
Then every new shoot pull her to an open space in your canopy. it’ll give you the best chance at bud sites.
Don’t trust me at all I’m questionable at best
(Wife says I’m not behaved at all )
LOL!!!
I see what you mean though (seriously)…I can see where buds might form now that they’re bigger. I’ll let the girls relax a bit with the first training, but I’ll go back in tomorrow or this weekend and train a bit more (using your diagram). I’m starting to see what you’re talking about. Picking bigger branches and such.
And, I’m thinking I might trim the AK at the bottom. The AK is a big fat toad that needs some trimming and more training.
Growing is more fun than I thought! And my new knowledge is going to make our outdoor vegetable garden shine this year! Nothing better than fresh produce straight from the garden (carrots, lettuce, peppers, et al).
Thanks again BigItch.
Hi everyone,
I gave another full watering just now. The soil seems to dry out every 3 days. Each of the plants took about a gallon each (with about 5-10% run off). I tested the run off with my TDS (trump derangement syndrome) meter, and all three were around 1500-1800 ppm. Each gallon got 1.5 ml of calmag. Very weak, I was just playing around a bit.
I also did a bit more training, and clipped about 6 lower fan leaves. I’m basically 4 weeks from when the plants broke ground and had the cotyledon leaves.
The two Whites (Widow and LSD) are super easy to use pipe cleaners on (to train). The AK47 seems to like to remain bushy, so it’s challenging to pick branches to train. So, I’ll wait to see what I can do with it as it gets bigger.
At any rate, all three girls are happy with ~75F and ~55 humidity.
@BigItch, @plumbdand, @CurrDogg420
Question, would it be better to get the heat up to 77F? Or am I splitting hairs?
As always, thanks to all!
FYI, I just purchased another $400 for an ounce. I think that it’s the last! I burn it up at a rate 2 1/2 months. I hope the next time it’ll be my own.
FYI, I’m using this for every watering (even in the solo cups at the early stage):
The root ball was huge when I cut open the solo cup to transplant it.
I use mycorrhizae when I transplant and throughout the grow as a top dress
$400 for an oz. Wow!! My friends are getting off cheap.
74-77 is right in the happy place for me.
I use the myco when transplanting, it seems like it would be on the expensive side to use with every watering. But then again, some of the alternatives like fish Sh!t ain’t cheap either. Looks like your plant is happy with the situation. You could probably do it every week rather than every watering.
You dont need to use mycos every watering. If they are fed they will multiply. I add some as a top dress every few weeks or so and feed the soil with molasses every other week or two.
Yeah splitting hairs with the temp… heat goes up and humidity goes down. My tents running at 72 so you’re fine there.
$400 an oz I’d be spitting nails . I smoke that in 2 weeks. I generally only buy to test strains I might want to grow.im not taking 5 months to grow a strain I don’t like smoking. Was in a shop yesterday and scoffed @ $200 an oz ended up walking out paying $160 our shops aren’t regulated yet so can haggle a little.
What are your long term plans for feeding? What your doing now will work but probably gonna be on the expensive side. Your numbers are good but soon you’ll want to up your PK for full flower.
