Hey Kids! It’s the TimberLadd Kush show! OG Kush/Purple Punch flowering stage

Hey All, hope all is well everyone and that your grows are turning out excellent with the least amount of problems so far:wink:… I have 2 OG Kush and 1 Purple Punch plants ready to flower starting next week. I have all 3 plants in 20gal cloth pots in a 4 x 4 x 80” grow tent, the plants except for one OG (2 1/2 weeks behind 21”) were at 24” tall, after sticking a trellis on top I pushed them down a little bit and moved it around to try to have a decent canopy which is a little hard as obviously the cloth pot diameters I believe are somewhere around 19” inches, i’ll be using the trellis mostly just for support because I don’t think I’ll get a complete nice canopy on top. I’ve done LST. defoliating as well as Lolly popping all three to a certain point through veg. will most likely be trimming a little bit more as it goes through flower however, for now I’m fine with what it looks like. Today I did my heaviest defoliating and is the end of the 8th week of veg…Monday is when it Goes to flower… i’ve had my Vivosun LS4000 grow light 18 hours on and 6 hours off, light strength has been between 75 to 80% at 18 to 20 inch distance from top of plants …Since this Tuesday, I’ve been cutting back an hour every day till it gets to 12 hours instead of just going “OK flip to flower boom! I want to gradually decrease it as I haven’t read any comments as far as switching to flower that way ( just personal preference and curiosity) I think of it as instead of jumping right into a pool or Jacuzzi you gradually get used to the water and then you’re good, I think it’s kind of like more of a shock to a plant when you change it abruptly like that… So anyway fellow growers, will be posting pics on and off throughout this time & if any of you have any questions, or want more information of my grow (fertilizers, watering, dirt, humidity VPD, blah blah blah) feel free to ask me and I will respond as soon as I can. I’m not on this site all the time, but will definitely answer anybody’s questions and if you have any opinions or think I should do something differently, Feel free to go ahead and throw it down in the comments below. Have a great Grow all! and looking forward to banging Gums with anybody who is interested, TLK out…

:musical_score:HELLO THERE LADIES & GENTLEMEN! :drum:HELLO THERE LADIES & AND GENTS! ARE YOU READY TO ROCK:guitar::guitar::drum: ARE YOU READY OR NOT:notes:…… Morning all from the basement of TLK… Aug 28. 2023, first day of Flower. so let’s see kids where did I leave off, soooo last week I was setting up and prepping for this week(covering everything up that had a light on it. Power strips humidifier, shut off IR on my tent camera and blacked out all the basement windows checked all over my tent, No light leaking through just beautiful black as black can be ) after installing the trellis last week pushing down on the plants trying to spread it out to have a fuller canopy my hot chicks seem to be doing pretty well. I fed them Saturday and depending most likely will be feeding them tomorrow, I’ll be giving the girls a sweet treat of blackstrap molasses. For now I moved my grow light up 20 inches from the top of my plants & cranked the light strength to 90%, schedule now for flower is 5 AM to 5 PM (12hrs) My Purple Punch being roughly the tallest 22 to 22 1/2“ actually is pretty much the whole average around there plus or minus 1/2 inch or so. I also added another in-line fan to the bottom of the tent to draw in nice cool air from the floor to help keep the inside of the tent nice and cool and help bring down the humidity during this time, so far everything seems to be rocking it as I have Wi-Fi switching on some of my appliances and everything seems to be meshing fairly well, pictures to follow… have a great day fellow growers, and whatever it is you do, kick ass at it! TLK out:sunglasses:……

Thanks for the vote of confidence my friend! As I Worked hard at it staying diligent with my observations of all 3 girls and not trying to overwater as frankly they went from the good ole’ red solo cup to !!boom!! 20 gallon pot! so I really had to watch the watering and feeding as I personally don’t believe in transplanting 3 to 4 times, I think with these videos and some websites it’s just to get you to buy more fertilizers and such and I don’t buy into their :poop: as you can see for the most part they’re doing just fine as this is my very first attempt at doing this… Lots of reading, watching videos, and hanging out here with all of you and above all “using your common sense” got me to this point as I’m as new as new can be (aka Newbie ), take care Marty marijuana seed, and you’re always welcome at my site. Check in anytime you feel and if you have any questions give me a holler & I’ll try to answer them. TLK :sunglasses:

The more the merrier, Deep Diver Dave! Been reading your post as is quite interesting, not done as of yet as I’ve almost run out of giving likes today on your posts alone and the day has only begun :joy:, sucks that they limit you to certain amount of likes or certain amount of pics however, I get it… i’ll be doing a photo dump probably near the end of the week or next Monday. As of this moment today my plants have grown roughly about 2 inches since starting the flowering stage(2/12 days in).

Take care my friend, see ya around, TLK😎

Thank you my friend, thank you very much! And to think I didn’t even know how to germinate a f’in seed😂 my wife did it for me back in May, all she used was a bounty paper cloth. She wet the cloth, put it in a plastic bag and called it a day, two days later boom.!

Personally, I wouldn’t dump. Any money on these germination station type deals , a simple paper cloth some water and a plastic bag do just fine save your money and you can take it from there putting them in soil or a cube or whatever you feel like doing i’m sure some parts of the country you’re gonna need a heater and those kind of things however, here in Michigan not so much. The whole thing shadegrowin is I read other peoples experiences on the IGLM page and have been learning a little bit here, and there, since I joined. I also watch videos, and I sit back and observe, a lot of videos I’ve watched are just BS and just trying to sell products because they’re sponsored by whoever is sponsoring them so they just say anything to sell The product. Others are fairly informative as I have a group of people that I like to watch on YouTube, they as well sell products from sponsors, however they seem to be truthfully informative. For me I want to see pictures and facts. I don’t go by people talking about whatever (actions/pictures speak louder than words) and being a beginner, for all you know they could just be full of :poop: and I get a little apprehensive in actually believing them when something seems off, call it my engineering intuition as I’m extremely meticulous
Or “common sense” I don’t know. They show no proof just talk, I “weeded out” (pun intended:wink:) a ton of videos and growing channels that I had watched for weeks before I became comfortable with what I ended up with in regards to some of these people actually teaching me something. Other channels not so much, as half the time they’re f’in baked trying to teach you or talk about what they do and I’m like “yeah no” next channel, i’m not saying I don’t like smoking weed because I effing love it however, I don’t need my teacher to sit there and be stoned off his ass teaching me something we can smoke later after class:wink:. I do however love watching some of those guys because they are funny and they are informative to a point, However, I like the ones that take a little more serious approach and those are the ones that I like to watch the most. I love this set up I have and I did a lot of investigating with other tents and so on but ended up with this cause I figured hell it’s cheaper and why not if it don’t work out I can always sell it or throw it in the effing garbage, the only thing I have is a pH meter, the one thing I will say negative about Vivosun is the pH meter & tds/ec meter that came with the kit should belong in a Barbie fun playhouse as I think I used it twice the clip snapped off the ph meter and in the water it went. I got myself a real pH meter “blue lab PH pen”,. I don’t check runoff I don’t check the lighting. I have not done any of that nor do I have gadgets to see where I’m light wise or “any wise”. it’s all by observation and feel, i’m just letting the tent & the grow hub controller plus the light do its work and then when everything is said and done I’ll decide whether I switch to another tent setup or not, as to this point Vivosun is a decent grow tent for the money, just take care of your :poop: that’s all you Gotta do and it will last. To clarify things, I’m not a spokesman for Vivosun just a normal guy like yourself trying to grow some kick ass weed so he can share with his family and friends, as in the end that’s what it’s all about, look forward to seeing you hanging around or if you have any questions, ask me. thanks again, shadegrowin for stopping by! Thank you kindly sir! I like the way you think. I would normally be losing my mind overthinking everything and my plant would be dead already. Due to uncontrollable circumstances I am having to “wing it” on little experience and limited supplies. The whole thing has made me appreciate a simple approach. I only last week found a soil pH tester I had. It was the first thing I have tested all season. I germinated the same way your wife did, stuck it in a pot of soil, water when it light and feed her once a week. I switched her to a flower feed and Cal-Mag from her veggie feed during pre-flowering and did some defoliation and mild lollipopping just before that. I plan on doing another small cleanup tomorrow, as I am in week 3 of flowering, then let her ride. Stopping nutes at 3 weeks before harvest. I plan on leaving one branch in an attempt to make it hermie or spray it with diluted colloidal silver to get a few seeds. She’s just been too easy to tend and has handled the weather here too well to let this strain get away from me. Interesting your in engineering, my father was a mechanical engineer and taught me a lot about logic and critical thinking. Things that later in life proved more valuable than I ever imagined. Well, you’ve certainly realized by now you can spare yourself the time of looking to my posts for information. Like yourself I have enjoyed reading and watch video to try and learn and prefer results over talk. That’s actually the core reason behind the current legal matters I have with family right now, fantasy not reality. So while my current experience, situation and disposition aren’t good for much other than senseless replies (often humorous but still senseless :joy:), I’ll keep tagging along for the mental notes I’m actually making for the future. It’s people like you that help the downtrodden not lose our way in the muck of life and become the muck ourselves. Thank you brother. Keep at it!!

You’re very welcome, hey, and if you have something that did well for you I have no problem listening it’s like you said we’re all here to learn, And I have done all of this watching videos reading and joining this website and this is the end result so far, that’s why I’m showing my grow off as I want people to ask me questions and I want to tell them what I’m doing because it’s not as hard or scary as some make it out to be, believe me taking those first steps into something that is completely unknown & spending a decent amount of money on something you know really nothing about is a little scary, trial and error like everyone else is always gonna be a little scary whether it be a job, this, or anything it’s all in how you approach it, I mean who the f’k does their very first grow in 20 gallon cloth pots, This motherf,er :joy: and that’s why I started my post because I want to see if I’m gonna crash and burn and end up with a tent full of Hermes that ends up becoming a sausage fest in my tent or actually growing a halfway decent or epic yield. as long as you use your common sense and just stick with it daily your gonna be fine:wink:….I like to joke around as well, and I have fun with that, not overly witty, but witty enough because taking life too seriously my friend is never good as none of us get out of here alive anyway that’s why I quit engineering. It was just too serious and the people were just arrogant and narcissistic and I am not like that at all. I am way more down to earth than 90% of the engineering field plus I just got tired of kissing peoples asses just to keep a job. Anyway, so enjoy, love and laugh as much as you can because who knows where we’re going to be after this life, if any:wink:, so just chilllax, kick back and watch the show, TLK

I gave up my stuffy job to do something extremely rewarding, when I chose to care for my mother with Parkinson’s after my father passed. It’s taught me not only the value of each of life’s moments, but that they don’t have to be perfect to be amazing. You remind me a lot of my dad, and it’s a genuine pleasure meeting you here. Thanks! Now back to growing. :sunglasses::metal:t2:

I feel you on the parents and I’m sorry for your loss. I watched my dad slowly die of throat cancer back in January of 2020 before all the Covid crap, and took time off from my job to be with my dad every day. The worst part of all of it was me not being able to hear him talk anymore. My mom died of muscular sclerosis years ago, and since the passing my father, I haven’t been the same since, so I get you man…. And Holy screaming Shit!! Yeah you know what you’re doing buddy who are you trying to kid:joy::joy:
That is beautiful!! Yea, I can learn things from you too😉
