Some of those deals you can’t beat with a stick
@garrigan62. Just wondering if you have tried the 3 a light (shwazzing)
@garrigan62 scroll back up to either 70 or 71 of this post. @M4ur posted a video on it. It’s a technique were you remove leaves at certain times to produce bigger yields. The name 3 a light comes from the claim that you can get 3lbs from one light
Hey @Johnzy81 this is about what I said about “three a light”. Scroll up
You guys ever smoke then get brilliant ideas. Well, here’s my latest. As summer winds down and fall begins to set in the days get shorter right? Well I’ve been flowering for going on 25 days now. My plan is to reduce my lights by a half hour every 4 das. So in 30 something days from now, I’ll only be giving 8hrs of light. By the time I reach the 8hrs I’ll be close to 60 days in. Whatcha think?
You’ll be losing out on energy your plants could be directing towards making buds bigger in my opinion.
I will run my plants in the last week or so on 8/16 or 10/14. I do this to mature the trichomes in it’s final days.
@Dieselgrower sorry for jumping in but is that something like say before you change to the switch off 12/12 that could bring that time down over a longer period to make is a smoother change over for our lady’s.
Some growers do a gradual change, I don’t.
@Dieselgrower. That was my thought. I look at lights all the time on Amazon, like daily. And I’ve seen where manufacturers list 18/6 for vegg, 12/12 for flower and then 8hrs for ripening. But @dbrn32. You’re probably right, I have a calendar that tells me what time the sun rises and sets and how long each day is. By mid October there is still 11hrs of daylight. So, I probably will lower my lights down some the last week or two. Good call
Last week or so probably not going to kill you as long as you don’t jump the gun. Sooooo many growers misinterpret where their plants are and pull nutes to early, or do a number of different things that commits them to harvest, and miss out on the best part of bud swell.
Personally, the only time I would look at doing something like lowering light schedule would be if pistils have turned but trichs haven’t. But I have added more blue light about a week or so out.
Yeah that’s what I was talking about mate I just wasn’t sure it’s been a long time since I’ve had heard that but you know what I’m talking about cool.
@dbrn32. Here’s the spectrum graph of the cob you thought we were talking about the other day
That looks a little colder than the other, 4000k maybe?
@HornHead so 2x growing wwa and right at preflower, feeding with NOTG. Had to supplement with mag/sulf and phosphorus plus(made by microbial life), it helped.
I have amnesia haze autos that didnt have the issue. I gave them a little just incase it shows later in the aha.
Lights just kicked on. Gonna water with plain 5.7 pH water. Scratch that, I’m gonna add 3ml of calmag. I’m in 7 gallon pots so it’ll be 2 gallon of water
I got one cola that has a few discolored leaves on it. I know I didn’t splash any water on it so we can eliminate that. Now I do have some after market lenses on my lights, but, not sure that could be the culprit either, thou possible. Again it is isolated incident, just curious. Any thoughts?
You should try and get a little more accurate way of measuring ph when you can. Those strips are very difficult to read. Those burned tips could be from light/heat, but going back through your pics you may have some other stuff going on too.
