Personally Growmies I would recommend keeping it simple with Hydro. Base nutrients, silica and a root inoculant like Sourhern Ag or Hydro guard. Those additional additives like molasses and beneficial microbes work great in soil

Fighting off the slime is the problem. Nothing kills it except the tea. The molasses only goes on the tea bucket and never into the reservoir. The point is to brew a strong microbe tea that eliminates the bad stuffā¦
It seems crazy but Iāll be damned if it doesnāt work.
I even tried sterilizing with bleach.

So last night I started up a batch of the tea, itās still bubbling away and will use some this evening. 2 of my 3 buckets were infested again so I emptied, cleaned, sprayed down hydroton etc. then mixed up a temporary batch of those microbes in that brown picture, itās full of the bacillus, mainly cus on of my plants roots were looking ugly so figured Iād get a jump start.
So when I get off work, Iāll empty everything again, clean. Then refill with like 3 gals of pure water in each, then add about a half gal of tea to each? With some top feeding as well.
That sound about right @Bamarayne ?
You want a cup of tea per gallon then add a cup each day there after to beat the slime.
Are you DWC or RDWC?

At the moment Iām in DWC, i dismantled my RDWC and started a new one. Havenāt finished it yet till I get this bacteria shot under control!

Hey @Bamarayne , when you add ācupsā of the tea to your water, do you ever ph down it? I added like .5ml of down and my ph meter when crazy. What the hell is that about 
I have no idea.
My system is a 55 gallon RDWC so when i add a cup of tea to the reservoir it doesnāt affect the ph in anyway.
I do not ph the water i make the tea in. Once i add the 2 gallons to the fresh reservoir i add in my silica, Calmag, and nutrientsā¦ then i ph the system.

Hey Growmie, that is frustrating for sure. After a run I clean my entire DWC systems with PBW (powdered brewery wash) and StarSan. You can find these at most brew shops or online. They get in to all those little harborage areas and clean out the crud that can keeps contaminating ur rez.
