Help with High PPM

Thanks for that info. I normally do ph at 5.8 to 6.0 but I was watching a video on youtube a while back and he said that during flower he would boost his ph up to 6.5 to get a better intake of potassium. Hell,it made sense to me :joy:
I’ll just go back to the way i was doing it before (treating it like hydro) thanks again

That’s the nicest ph chart I have seen. Most definitely keeping that🤘🏻

If it’s a ff soil it will be high ass numbers for a while til they get washed away. What is the light power set to make sure it is not burning the leaves of it’s just the top sets of leaves. I’d always water til I get atleast 20% runoff back out the bottom to avoid any buildups from happening. They seem to look super good tho. How high up r the lights from canopy and what’s the power of lights at. What’s the watts of light also.

Im growing in promix hp and the light is 22" from the canopy, thats the highest I can get it without taking the light hangers off. HLG said that 18"-24 for bloom.
Lights are maxed at 284w
I will most definitely be making sure that I get atleast 25% runoff from here on in.

Pro mix might be a bit different if I’m thinking that’s organic and u might not want to get runoff too much and wash away all the beneficial stuff there. @Myfriendis410 @Covertgrower might know better on this before something is gone wrong lol. I think pro mix is treated as organic and not have the runoff like other soils or mediums do.

It’s not organic because of the wetting agent they use.
Most use it like hydro. Very similar to coco

Ok so u keep it moist always or let it dry out some. I use coco and jacks and before that was in ffof and GH nutes

Yea,I’ve been feeding everyday with the low dose of GH Maxi Bloom and liquid Kool Bloom

No calmag at all. I know the GH nutes I used called for calmag also as it was not a part of their mix. Like jacks has it all in one can use the same formula start to finish without issues basically. Some do minor adjustments to the parts but nothing bad and it’s easy to get the hang of measuring it out is alot easier than trying to pour out a few MLS at a time lol. I switched to jacks and won’t switch back. It’s way too easy to use to switch. I am getting earth dust to try on a grow and see how it works out for me. I’m hearing once it’s started it basically water with tap water no pH to it or anything just strait up tap water I have plenty of used up coco that’s been washed and ready to be used again so this might be interesting when it gets here lol.

I used calmag through veg but stopped at bloom. My leaves have been a dark green so i figured i didn’t need it,maybe i do. :joy:

Far as nutes goes,I’m really diggin The GH Maxi series. I use to use Fox Farm Trio and absolutely hated it.
Alot of ppl use Jacks on here,I might give it a try later on. Im thinking of trying out coco for my next run.

U’ll love coco and jacks together. Coco is like a whole new ball game of growing. Hard to overwater any issues that arise are easily able to be washed out and followed thru with a good feed again to get back on track. It’s way diff from soil grows that’s for sure. If u can try and find canna coco bricks expand it with full strength hacks and go from there. U’ll love it

Yea,I was just looking at that earlier on Amazon, 40L brick. I know nothing about coco other than it requires calmag :joy: I just liked the idea of it being inert and doesn’t hold alot of water.

If u use jacks it’s all combined in their formula. Like gg u need to add calmag to their regimen jacks has it in and only usually need cal mag on water only days if u decide to do that I barely touch cal mag anymore as I use jacks with every feed and if I water with ro water I just water as I always do full strength hacks with every feed them add the additives I use also watering days with coco alli smell is the nutrients mix I am feeding to the plants no soil or dirt smells it’s good stuff lol. Cannot let it dry out tho as it can cause some issues I’ve yet to of experienced anything bad with coco and jacks yet but there is always that day lol

Sounds like coco would be good to grow in. Quick question, would I need a ro system? I’ve looked at them in the past but never pulled the trigger.

I would keep adding calmag, at least until week 4-5 of flower

No RO system needed. I grow in coco and use my tap water. It’s 7.2 and PPMs around 50. When I’m finished adding my base nutes it comes out at 5.8 and 950 PPMs :love_you_gesture:

Awesome! My tap is 7.1 not sure on the ppm. I’ll add some calmag I guess. I just figured nitrogen should be cutout when flowering. Im still learning:joy: :metal:t2:

Lower tap PPMS like I have need those additional minerals. I increase my epson salt and cal nitrate when I want to boost the calmag. You can add epson (magnesium) every nutrient mix. Cheap alternative that every one has :love_you_gesture:

Coco is amazing to grow in, I made the switch last year…again. Tried a run in soil and didn’t like not having the ability to feed daily. Coco is light and airy and drains exceptionally well helping prevent that root zone build up :love_you_gesture:
