Indoor grow in grow tent of 3 banana kush auto’s, now 10 weeks old, these things are monsters and now I am wondering if they are really banana kush or what. I have topped them twice, have taken off over a foot and they are still over 6’ tall and getting too close to the lights again. They keep growing.
I am using LED’s for lighting and have a switch for grow lights and flower lights and have kept them both on.
But my real question is why wont these things begin to flower? Its just over 10 weeks and no flowering going on. I began lights at 20-4, cut them back to 18-6 but that didnt make any difference.
I have read that with the autos the light schedule wont make much difference, is that correct?
Does it ever happen that plants dont flower?
Is there anything I can do to help speed it along and start to flower?
Thanks
I just looked, and ILGM does not sell an autoflowering Banana Kush. What you have is a photoperiod plant.
In order to get it to flower, you will need to switch your lights to 12/12.
I did buy them at ILGM.
For some reason I thought they were auto’s, my bad.
Just switched the lights to 12-12 per your comment.
Any idea how long the flowering stage lasts for these?
You’ll start to see pistils within 7-9 days of changing the light schedule @username1 then count the 56 days from that point on. Trichomes are always the best indicator for harvesting though.
But don’t take that verbatim. Those times are always under perfect conditions… which no one has. I look at what a seed vendor quotes and count on it being 2 weeks longer.
Thanks for the info, maybe you guys can answer a light question.
I have 1000 watt full spectrum LED, with separate switches for veg and flower.
When I turn on just the switch for flower or just the switch for veg the light output really drops off. I read somewhere to just leave both switches on for entire grow but wanted other opinion, should I go with just the flower lights now that I’m on 12-12 or leave them all on?
