I ph water at 6.5 and give nuts once a week at half strength ,temp77,300 watts in 3x3
Why 1/2 strength? Do you measure the ppm’s of the mixture or your runoff to determine how much available food may be in the soil? Is CalMag in the rotation also?
cal mag is in the mix when I feed and right now I am going to measure the runoff last time. I measured it. It was 6.4 on the pH. I did not the nutes
just measured 6.0 ph and 2365 ppm
Whats your growing medium?
If youre in soil, i would raise your ph up to 6.5
Given that ph meters vary .1 to .2 im guessing you are borderline locking yourself out on the low end. Are you ph-ing your water after you add your nutes? If not, do that and raise your water in to 7.0
With you ppm that high, skip a feeding and water only. Check your runoff each time and when you get to around 800 start feeding shooting for a runoff between 1000 and 1400.
With your ph low and ppm high, shes not going to be able to uptake certain nutes. Stop the cal mag. You rarely need cal mag in soil.
Should I flush with 6.5 ph water or just leave alone?
Whats your tap water ph? Do you have any unsulphured molasses?
Lemme show you an example of what ph lockout looks like. These were locked out high. Took nearly a month to get her happy again…
tap is 7.0 and have no molasses
I would water next time with tap. Find gallon or so container, fill er up and allow it to sit out overnight in your grow space. Temperature of water is important also. Water slowly. Over a period of 15 to 30. You want the soil to soak up as much as possible. You dont want but just a touch of runoff. Dont worry about testing it. Let her sit in that until she ready to be watered again. Measure runoff then and hit me up and lets see where she is. Hit the @ sign and tag me. @ChittyChittyBangin
Check out my journal too. Lots of good info on there also.
P.S. get ya a small jar of unsulphured molasses. Youll add a tablespoon to a gallon once every two weeks. That willl keep the microbes in your soil happy!
Thanks very much. I’ll do so.
Yeah. I second this. What I did in a coco mixture when I had same issue was run lots of plain phd water through the medium and after that fed with a light feeding including calmag.
You may not want to do that exactly in soil. I guess here it would depend on drainage.
I was doing a grow using a sort of super soil and I had nute problems at roughly the same stage. Your container size looks good. In my case I did more or less what chitty suggested but I chose to move to synthetic nutes at that time. This just a thought.
I’m using ff, this is forth grow and had never had issues!
@Mwsubway what are you feeding with ?
I am not sure what to use. I did some research and found the Bonnie and Clyde nutrients one was for veg. And the other was for flowering. I am trying to keep it as super simple as possible. I have not started anything yet still to early in the season. I have my 3 gallin fabric pots i have the seeds and i have the worm castings and organic potting soil. That is wear i am at right now. Any ideas?
