My poor girls are getting eaten alive , they all have started the flowering stage and I know you can’t use Neem Oil when the plant is in flowering, What can I use to protect my girl’s without hurting the flowers ??

I spelled it almost right:slight_smile:
It’s white powder getbthe food grade version it’s at every garden store/nursery

It’s called diatomaceous earth, it’s an all natural bug killer it’s like a fine powder that’s completely safe for humans, kills almost all bugs from thrips to spidermites to cockroaches. I use them on my plants and it’s gotten rid of all my pests. Just make sure you get the food grade. Yes it’s even safe to consume I just wouldn’t advise it lol. I’ve made a “duster” with a 1 Liter bottle and poked small holes on the top right under the cap and give it a gentle squeeze. I try not to put it on flower just because it may affect taste so I try not to and when I do I just blow it off the leaves and flowers.
What he said…
I’m dealing with 2 thumbs lol
Not the Cape @Capt_Seeweed but very close, I live in MA but I’m only 1/2 mile from Little Compton RI . I’m surrounded by water and there are beaches everywhere, Have you ever heard of Horseneck Beach, I live actually 2 mile away but from there you can see all the Islands, like Martha’s Vineyard Cutty Hunk and I forget the other’s name ,anyway all you see are out of town plates on cars and very RUDE people, other than that I Love where I live!!!

AWESOME @Manny_FTGUTube I will absolutely pick some up tomorrow and Thank You so so much for taking time to help !! Everyone one this forum are so friendly and willing to help out , spreading there knowledge, I’m glad I didn’t take my husband advise and buy seeds locally.
Of course it’s not a problem I help where I can and if I can’t there’s more than enough people here to help out. Here’s the bag I use. Don’t know if it’s available where you are though.
Here is my “duster” lol
Very inventive @Manny_FTGUTube , you made that with a 2 litter bottle, I do have to say that’s pretty cool, smart and CHEAP !! Thanks for the picture of the bag, it will make it a little easier to find it at the store.

That is with a 1 Liter but I have 15 plants ranging from 2 1/2 ft - 6 1/2 ft so I need to use alot without having to refill the bottle. Just make sure that you have a sturdy bottle that can take compression because if you get just a regular water bottle it’ll wear down over 1-2 uses. So something with thick plastic. Sometimes I dont even squeeze I just give it a good shake over the plants and it seems to fall out in a decent amount of small clumps that cover just as well. Haha thank you I just got the idea of baby powder shaker and thought about the same concept kind of since I didn’t have a BP shaker on hand. No problem though I got mine at Lowe’s for around 8 bucks I think a pretty decent ba but I’m sure there’s other places and sizes for different prices, maybe even cheaper.
Horse neck beach is supposed to be a great beach but too much seals/sharks right?
Must be good grade DE is what I was told
Is that food grade DE?
That it definitely is, wouldn’t use the pool grade. Or Industrial grade whichever the correct term is.
I made that mistake already.
Actually??? You know what I didn’t even check… Honestly it just said it was garden safe so I’m assuming
What happened to your plants? Damn now I’m rethinking it lol, I mean I’ve been using it for a few weeks and nothing has happened other than getting rid of my pests like intended but now I’m curious hmmmm
Man I don’t want to say for sure but that bag doesn’t look food grade. You should check with the wise ones as I discovered my mistake before I applied it to the plants. It has to be safe for vegetables and fruits and safe for pets
