I have recently switched my florescent with the tublar LEDs they are grow lights one blurple, one white 6500k the hood I’m using is a two bulb 2 ft one for seedlings an early veg so my question is does the same hanging height go for these like the fl’s, few inches away or would the LEDs be more intense need be farther than regular fl
We will say my space is 2x2 for good measure cause its really close
Yes in know its not optimal an there’s better choices for lighting out there but using what got since already have a 600 led for later,but like said it is strictly for seedlings/clone to get them established an going
Too far away will cause stretching. Too close will burn the plant. The best way to ensure the safety of your plant is to put the back of your hand at the top of the plant. If you can feel heat, then your lights are too close. every other distance is fair game.

I do an I have the app, from what I read it needs to be calibrated properly so I figured it could be off wasn’t sure weather to trust souly on what it saying , and these literally put out no heat I can hold them in my hand they are designed for growing but has no height comments or anything
Ok so we’re I’m about 2 1/2 In I should shoot for round 20 an bump it every week an I was just worried if I lowered them say 3 inches above them would the LEDs be to intense were florescent normally set
Here’s what I had rigged up for starting our veggie garden seeds. Just some cheap LEDs, had about 1/2 cool white and the other 1/2 warm white.
Compared to “good” lights, they run much hotter and the whole thing just about doubled my electric bill. Got the job done though, I’ll probably be firing it back up in a couple weeks here.
That is awesome man i would love to be able to have a set up like that but limited space rn, I ended up shutting down the hood an switching to 2 40w cfl’s in my box they seem be loving it
