Help needed for medicinal use

No worries, I didn’t even see your reply until after I posted. You have right idea, just a smidge early right now.

I bought a cheapish all in one from Melbourne hydro through eBay. The tent is the only real quality part. The rest of the kit went to the much less integral veg space. Fan and lights don’t come in hi quality low price I’ve found.

I just don’t understand the full concept of a set up. Obviously you have the tent, a light, a heater, a fan, water to create humidity however the exhaust fans etc I don’t understand

Sorry about all the questions. I suppose your first proper grow is always going to be your most difficult… is it ok to leave the lights on all the time right now or should I be turning them off at night?

How warm is too warm for my seedlings cause with the heat bulb it’s pretty toasty in there

Yeah the plants need some rest too. 18hrs on then 6 off for the veg stage. You’re going to need to flip the lights to a 12 /12hr time schedule when you’re ready to flower your plants.
With regards to your setup it’s a super open question. As basics you’ll need a tent, light, exhaust fan and oscillating fan.
With regards to temperature and humidity, again it’s very open. You’re best off getting a hygrometer/thermometer with a dual sensor setup. One to measure the room the tent is in and another at canopy level inside the tent.
Once you learn the patterns in humidity/temperature in your room and tent you’ll need to adjust it to optimum levels using heaters, air conditioners, humidifier or dehumidifier. It’s easier to control the room the tent is in rather than just the tent directly. I use HPS lighting. I can control my tent environment by adjusting the light in most cases.

With the auto flowering plants do you still need to follow their 12/12 method?
Indoor growing is so complex! I remember my original outdoor plant I grew… I just occasionally tested the soil ph level, adjusted accordingly, sprayed it with neem seed oil & it did everything itself :joy: It will definitely be my preferred method of growing once the season changes however I’m in so much pain I want to give this a go for now. If it doesn’t work so be it but it’s worth a crack

Just purchased this. Same brand so should be compatible with the tent :woman_shrugging:t2:

The exhaust fans purpose is to exchange the air within the space. You need this to keep temperature and relative humidity within reasonable ranges, and to replace the co2 that the plants will consume during photosynthesis.

Temperature wise around 80f is a pretty good target with led lights, during lights on time. A little more or less not that big of deal. When the lights are out a drop in temperature is expected, you just don’t want it so low it will damage roots. If you keep this above 60f you should be okay, but 65-70f would be little more ideal.

I’m not really familiar with any of those products. But appears light may be a little small for tent that size to do really well. We can look at that later though after you get a harvest or two under your belt.

Thank you. I thought 1000w would be reasonable. I do have the led light I’m currently using so I suppose I could add that in there also?
Honestly if i successfully get even a small harvest I’ll be happy. It’s all trial & error & a learning experience for me.
I now just need to find a reliable supplier of cbd oil for now to trial it’s benefits as I’m at crisis point. I can’t wait for my own plants to grow as they may fail anyway. My last blood test showed inflammation of the liver which tells me the various high quantities of pain killers I am on are not beneficial to me whatsoever. Not to mention the fact that they’re not working to their full extent anymore due to tolerance…
I’m at the point I’m unable to look after my almost 2 yo son on my own anymore so anything that can help me get through to surgery will be a massive breakthrough for me

I really hope you get the help you need there, those prescription drugs more dangerous than anything in my opinion.

The manufacturer of light is trying to say its equivalent to a 1000 watt hps light, which is rarely the case. No worries, though, it may be plenty good for what you’re looking to do.

I don’t know if this allowed but as far as seeds go ILGM in my opinion is the best so far and you do research on the strains from the site I am in the same boat as you are with my back but I do not require surgery just yet and I also have ptsd which I understand where you come from about the different meds. I recommend looking at these strains on ILGM. Big bud, amnesia haze, chocolope they are great for help alleviating pain and helping with the not wanting to do anything cause of the pain You can look at them all at once. They are in the cash crop mixed pack And as far as equipment goes try hydro builder they have helped me tremendously I recommend spending that little extra it costs for quality
