hey everybody, update, this is my California girl :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: cali dream. i disposed of my blue dream and my chocolope (misspelled sorry lol) my question is do I turn on all the lights now or do I need to see the leaves? second question is my starter plug feels dry, do I need to dampen it?

Ooo there she is
If you didn’t turn on light yet definitely do give her some light

She looks a little yellow bit I’d not be too worried about it
I think with some light she should get some green to her

definitely looks “leggy” like stretching for light and the color is a little odd also (to me). @dbrn32 does this look like an inadequate lighting situation to you?

Looks to me like you need to let her dry out some. She’s too young for the tote. And, move your light closer. :+1:t2::v::sunglasses:

Your rapid rooter is staying too moist and causing the pre mature yellowing and will unfortunately lead to death…
It’s always a fine line with moisture when dealing with seeds…
I try to get them established in a little seed starter with a dome…
Easiest way I’ve found to keep them happy…
I have these little trays that will hold the rockwhool or rapid rooters and I will usually only wet them once when I add the seed to them and then just mist the inside of the dome until I see roots pop out and then into a cup with hydrotone and then into a vegg system …
It’s always a little tricky to get seeds started…

should I replant it because the stem is too long? I can’t afford more lighting at this time

If you can move your light closer, that’ll help.
Good job! They look great! :+1:t2::v::sunglasses:

not the one you asked but can offer an opinion. I would go ahead and wait til her leaves are just starting to overhang that edge of the container she’s in, so you know she has GOOD root structure below, and then transplant her to a final container and just bury her a couple inches deeper than what the exposed stem is now. She looks SO much better than the original pic you posted. Congrats on the turnaround, happy growing

didn’t you get the HLG 135rspec light? it SHOULD have came with ratcheting hanger ropes. that is how you raise/lower your lights

Yeah, she’s in hydro, so I don’t know about the final pot idea

You could add more coco to support the stem/trunk of it but I’d definitely lower the light some as that’s the reason she stretching. Looking for light

If you don’t have a very gentle breeze in your grow room, get one

Don’t aim right at the plant but off to the side-ish so the plant looks like she’s trembling

That strengthens the stem and between that, lowering the light, and possibly adding a small mound of media you should be fine for now

I don’t remember the light you have but if I remember correctly it was pretty underpowered so I get that you can’t upgrade now, but seriously consider it at some point, because any plant needs adequate light but these things are absolute light hogs

Sorry to harp about the light. If you can’t upgrade, you work with what you have, but besides water, it really is the most crucial part of growing weed
