Help! My plant has split!

Hi all. Hoping I can get some help. I am growing mango kush and I was doing a little bit of trimming and then I heard a crack. I took a look and it split right down the centre about 1/4 inch down the stem. I think it is called a manifold grow, you top it and spread both branches out and tie down.

I closed it back up and tied a bit of tape around it and then propped up the other two branches. What’s the chances of continuing to flower? Or will it die? Ps it is a lot bigger now and has been in flower mode for about a week.

You will prob loose some weight due to the plant in doing 2 jobs now…flower and repair…so a portion of the energy it had to produce buds is being used else where.
It should live and continue to grow fine and will probably have a big knuckle where it broke when you take the tape off.
Treat it like you would if it was your arm…tape it up so it cant move and it will heal…and then life goes on…lol

no problem bro, I sometimes do it on purpose… i dont tape or anything, just leave it split open, it will be fine :facepunch:

A bit of tape or a zip tie at the split and a drop or 2 of honey will help heal it up quicker @leolass420. It happens
Peace for now. :v:

breaks happen. tape up with honey, support branch…it will be ok

however, the larger plant next to it will be a problem…separate if possible.

I snapped one of mine pretty bad while LST and a branch was hanging on with a small stran of stem. I didn’t think it would make it but I propped it up for support and now 10 days later I removed the prop and it is thriving. It’s well into flower and supporting its own weight. You should be fine👍. Happy Growing!

Thanks. I was wondering if I should have put something on it to help. Maybe too late now.

Hi, there is only one plant there. It was eaten as a baby and as it grew I trained the branches to open up…I think they call it a manifold grow. It actually split the trunk,

Is there any particular kind of honey to use? I know a lot of honeys are just sugar/honey syrup.
I always have Manuka Honey.

That should work fine @leolass420. A bit of aloe will work as well if you have some of that. Peace for now. :+1::v:

Thanks.
I have an aloe plant outside so now I know I can go to that if no honey.

I have as it is a very small plant but it was trying to flower so presume it is an auto.
New to this game and these poor plants have been through hell and back. The smaller one in the grow tent was put outside as it was a sad thing and now it is growing…go figure!
A link to my grow room if you want to see.
