A question from a fellow grower:

I get up to do my checks on my lil girl and my best one is so f…king
limp I’m sure there’s no hope for it. I have 3 of them growing at the
same time. That’s the only one I have trouble with the rest look great I
guess for being 24 days old can u help me out and at least give me an
idea of what going on. The ph in the soil is at 6.2 to 6.6 and that’s
where I keep my water and nutes this is very sad day for me my b- day
come in a few weeks I want some produced but not now so I hope u have
some kid of and answer for me thanks urs truly Matt ***** from the
U.S. of A thanks much for ur time answer ASAP would be great before I
lose them all thanks

The 6.2 to 6.6, does that include a reading of what is actually going on in the root zone or just what you feed them? Do you know the nutrient concentration in the root zone? I have some thoughts about the “best one” going limp, maybe it had the best conditions and grew the fastest, maybe? Now maybe the nutes and or pH at the root zone is way off, either because they were depleted and thrown off by such a vigorous growing plant or the nutes built up too high and is now causing a problem, and in this case the pH at the root zone could also have still strayed far from ideal.

Also something a lot of new growers run into is not understanding the difference in the droopy appearance of a under watered plant compared to an over watered plant, they assume always under watered and end up giving the over watered plant even more water and end up killing it with kindness. Cannabis roots drown easily, not that different from cactus roots.
