I started a new thread regarding aeration of water in my 55 gallon barrel but think i found my answer here. I have been using nothing this whole time and think I have been giving my plants less than optimal if not shitty water. I think i will pick one of these up and give it try. How do you think it will effect ph with my jacks mix?

Hey guys I have finally made it through this entire thread, wow there is a lot of useful information in here. Thank you for all the responses you have made Hellraiser, and so many others that have contributed to this thread.
Would you mind confirming that this plant looks like it is about a week or two away from harvest? Going for the cloudy/amber good for constant pain and anxiety issues.
I am trying to make sure it is the right timing for the final flush and water only until harvest.
I am starting to see amber but it looks like only the sugar leaves so far, so I am curious haw far behind the trichomes on the buds are at this point.

Hey buddy sorry to cut in @Hellraiser but if she’ll is left on it will not grow lol. If stuck on spray it with some lukey warm water let it set a few mins and try again. 2 sharp tooth picks usually work well. Wetting will soften it up to peel off better. Good luck let us know the outcome.

@kushion did u end up getting it off bud. Got my mind wondering now. Lol. I usually have my wife do the surgeries like this as she has smaller fingers and a bit less shaky lol. Nerves I tell ya. Mine r shot.

Did not try too hard because the plant was showing progress in freeing itself
Got it off this am and it still was not easy.
Leaves a little twisted, but I think it’s all good

My Jacks mix ph goes up by .1 every day. I start it at 5.8 (for coco) and next day it’ll be 5.9, by the 4th day it’ll be 6.1. I only make 4 days of Jacks at a time so I don’t re-adjust the pH, but I would if I made more, as I don’t want it any higher than 6.1 (for coco).

Yeah we call that helmet head, when I see that I usually dunk my finger in some water and dribble a few drops onto the seed covering, the water will help loosen it up so the sprout can push it off. If it does not come off by itself after 24 hours, I gently remove it with 2 pairs of tweezers, one to hold one side of the shell while I work it off with the other tweezer.

Yeah, I’d say 2 weeks to go, should have a decent amount of amber trichs by then.

Sounds like a dumb question, but when I make 4 gals of jacks, just weight of each part X4 ? Got the scale, as you see on my channel, so now im wanting to switch of course. After mini flushing of both are complete with satisfactory #s.

yes sir, so 1.2 grams of epsom per gallon would be 4.8 grams if youre mixing 4 gallons

I think this has started for me…I’m at week 6 of veg…getting close to flip time and seeing some issues pop up now. I was thinking of 1.5 Epsom, but see you have 1.6 up there on that chart. What’s the limit for Epsom?

For the chart. It shows the standard strength. 15% stronger and 20% stronger. I am not sure there really is an upper limit @imSICKkid I have ran the standard mix. Then added 5 tsp to an 11 gallon rez to see about fixing an issue I had with one plant. The leaves still look the same. I doubt they will change. But the plants is doing great. 1.5 is more than ok. And I now see errors in that chart 
the E on the 20% is off It should start with 1.8 @dbrn32 can you remove the above chart please. I will fix it and re add it corrected.
