Hellraiser grows Gorilla Glue and other stuff

I’m at 8 weeks flowering and one of my girls got the yellow death that I have heard you talk about. How long can go before I chop her down? I was wanting to go one more week before the yellow death took over. Currently the byds look great just have yellow bud leaves…

Take it on a day by day basis, when the yellow death starts on the little sugar leaves, might as well chop before you get dying/yellow buds.

Really stupid question…what is the cause of :v: yellow death :v: and does anyone have pictures. I know the answer (I think), just needing an explanation I guess, and pics would help. :vulcan_salute:

Looks like this generally, usually caused by nute burn - too much flowering nutes and/or PK boosters followed up by nutrient lockout. Burned and then starved. Under ferting can also bring the yellow death, like if you start your plant in FF Ocean forest and then never give any nutes, the soil runs out of nutes mid flowering, deficiencies start and the yellow death comes.

That’s what I thought you would say, thanks!

That’s what I figured…and that’s what I’m dealing with…not really bad, but still happening. I think some of that is not flushing, but most is not knowing what I was doing. :joy:

And weird thing…in the preview box (on a laptop) forum told me to send you a personal message…lol. No such thing here that I know of.

Teacher, what is your philosophy on individual plants that display signs of sensitivity to nutrients.

For example, I fed 4 plants at 100% strength… 3 showed “the claw…” I cut back to 50% and they are now happy and thriving.

Do you:
-just continue at that strength
-increase and hope the plant acclimated to higher nute levels
-none of the above

I would continue at that strength as long as all the plants are happy and stay on the lookout for signs of nitrogen deficiency in veg and phosphorus deficiency in flower. Also need to watch for calcium\magnesium issues if reducing the epsom salt along with the calcium nitrate. They may be happy now, but will they be happy after 2/3 weeks of 50% dose is the question, could bump up to 75% if the 50% does not seem to be enough after some time.

Awesome, thanks!

Dried, trimmed and jarred. Went in the jars at about 68% RH. I’ve been burping the jars and it is now holding at 61/62. Stored in a cool, dark place for cure (except the jar I’ve been using ). Came out to a little over 3 oz. Gotta give another big thanks to @Hellraiser. Couldn’t have done it without him. And a thanks to everyone else who has posted helpful advice. :+1:t2:

Also my nutrients are getting low, I scrolled through this thread and saw something about captain jacks any thoughts ?

Looks good!

Maybe, depends on if the strain usually turns purple or can be helped in the color change with colder night temps.

Capt Jacks is an insecticide. If you’re looking for nutes, then Jacks 321 is what I switched to.

See my new coco and Jacks 321 grow journal for details on the Jacks nutes.

Señor Hellraiser, by chance do you know if it is the same process to make cbd cooking oil as for thc infused cooking oil? Can I get CBD bud, decarb it in the oven like normal and then double boil it with the oil? Does the decarb work for cbd as well? @Hellraiser

Yes, decarb cbd bud just like regular bud. I usually go 230-240 for 40 minutes.
