LOL, daughter and I was discussing last night that this is the ugliest group of girls I’ve grown in a long time and just glad to be getting to the end of it.

I know I have a lot to learn though. Out of curiosity, what makes you say that though? What’s wrong with them? Because I think they look great, so please enlighten me.

I think they look great @Hellraiser. I wish I could consistently get a tent to look like that at harvest. How tall is that tent anyway? It appears like you have 2 sets of high CFM supports?

Didn’t mean it to make you feel bad about your grow, you’ll be fine. Your first grow is turning out much better than my first 10 grows did and looks like you’ll get a very nice yield from it.
But mine, they are just fugly compared to what I’m used to growing. The UVA light is making my leaves ugly. I pushed the bloom nutes a bit too much with this group, also making my leaves ugly. My daughter and I tore a lot of leaves during defoliation, making the leaves ugly. I think the far red light affected the color change on the Cherry leaves so some leaves changed color but some didn’t, and not to the nice Cherry red that it usually goes to. The lack of tons of trichs on the little bud leaves of G2 and G3 is disappointing, G1 makes up for it though and will probably be the Gorilla clone mother though I have not smoked enough to judge yet. I could go on and on, as a perfectionist I am my own worst critic.

Thanks, the Gorilla 3x3 tent is 7 feet tall (6"11 really) without the 12" extension (not installed). I have 3 sets of the high CFM supports in there now, but will be removing one set and moving them to another Gorilla 3x3 tent I have coming, which will have 2 sets of the CFM supports.

Oh no, I know you weren’t trying to put me down! I was just trying to be funny… guess it didn’t work ha… but okay cool that makes me feel better. Off to a decent start then.
And I’m like you, kicking myself in the ass after going over all my notes knowing what I know now. I’m very excited to make my second grow that much better. I need it to be perfect. I feel like I figured a better way for the next grow in every aspect.
So then you think the added lighting is what made your leaves not look as pretty as usual? Going to change the light layout next grow?

Some changes planned for next flowering session:
Only going to use the far red light the first 2 weeks to kick off flowering, yes it did speed up harvest a bit, the Cherry looks done at 9 weeks but don’t like the way it “hurried” along my plants but I think it’d be useful for first 2 weeks of flowering to really get them going.
UVA - used it all of flowering this time, will save it for last 4 weeks of flowering next time so it doesn’t have too long of a time to beat up my leaves as much.
Nutes - gonna stop pushing them so hard, gonna back it down to about 700-750ppm/1.4-1.5 EC on feedings during flowering.
And try not to twist on the leaves as much while defoliating.
But this is good exercise, at the end of every grow, one should go over the things they can do to make the next grow better and get a step closer to the “perfect grow”.

Thankfully you don’t smoke leaves. Lol. Mine are ugly as h”” as well. But trichomes are awesome. Definitely have less kief because of fried leaves. But better buds.

Hey @Hellraiser could you help me out brother I’m having a little problem, I want to get my plants topped ASAP but I just transplanted them 2 days ago into 3 gallon pot and I know most of them have a little calmag issue but one is really stumping me? Does this look like it might be a ph issue? It’s the only plant doing so?
And this one other plant is looking weird asf which is also stumping me lmao it’s a mutant I know but why? Lol I have 3 others that look the exact same. I know it might have to do with phenotypes but this is crazy lol

After much research… I went with 2x 1200w LEDs by Greengo from Amazon at $129US…below are pics about 10 days apart… Hope that helps 4x4 tent.

After a month of research I am happy with both the results and purchase.
Used CFLs, HPS & MH in past… Covert grow… Others just got too hot cost too much to use and cost price
I plan on using the HPS/MH again but that is a possible future… All I did is show the results of my full spectrum lights… You may have a different opinion but my experience… Yes a 350w HPS/MH grow was very successful… But again… The LEDs have performed well… No complaints here.
Do you have experience with these Greengo lights?
Yeah once the buds are in jars the leaves aren’t going to matter.

Burple light have a bad reputation around here, it’s typically because of misleading information like watts. Each of those lights is actually 248w, not 1200 as stated.
Amazon burple aren’t that bad IMO. I use it for seedling and early veg.
I use a 600w MH to finish veg and HPS for flower.
9 plants under those lights…not sure

Yeah all kinds of issues with that plant but since you just transplanted it, I’d just let it go and see what corrects itself.
The mutant just got a weird roll in the genetic lottery, never know what you’re gonna get with a seed, why I mostly stick with clones but gotta get some new stuff to play with now and then.

Got 2 vipar 600 in my 3x3 only using veg switch tearing it up got to slow them down for flower tent when ready
