Well, I just spent a solid week of reading this thread from top to bottom. I am dumbfounded at the wealth of knowledge contained herein.
@Hellraiser you are the most knowledgeable and kind person I have seen on the internet. Everyone here looks to you and you deliver every single time, without fail… I read this whole damn thread and not a single question went unanswered, not one. Beyond that, when the same question was asked by a different member elsewhere, you answered it again. Most people don’t put that much give a “F” into their jobs, let alone helping strangers. Awesome stuff, and thank you for all that you give to the forum.
I promised myself I would read the entire thing before asking you any questions!! Most of the questions I had along the way were answered further into the journal.
I’m getting ready to do an indoor grow and will be following all your guidance here.
I just received my AN starter kit.
I have 2 outdoor plants going now which are unidentified, third party clones. I would like to finish these using the AN stuff (why not?) One is in the third week of flower and the other I am vegging longer by supplementing extra light. Would I just pick up the schedule AN has?
Vegging plant use week 4 until flip?
Flowering plant start at week 3 flowering?
Also, I can’t find calmag around here. I will be ordering some online. I do have some Azomite. Could/should I use that and at what dose?

@Hellraiser question last Sunday you told me I had two weeks left on that Auto Plant so this Sunday I’ll have only one week left before I cut it down should I start flushing it now as in don’t give it the nutrients for this Sunday just give it straight water because next Sunday would be the day I Harvest it
@Hellraiser End Flowering Week 4 tomorrow, what would you recommend doing about those larger fan leaves at the tops of the colas?
Leave the larger ones at the top to accept photosynthesis from the light but clean up everything else. @Hellraiser May have a different input but that’s what I remember him telling me at that stage. Sry just seen you’re in week 5, if I were you I would not do anymore defoliation just make sure to keep bud sites uncovered by other leaves
@Hellraiser my leaves are really crunching up now after I did my last flush 3 days ago and did not end with feed being that I’m in week 7 now. Is this normal? Or should I be worried about all the taco leaves?
Would you say about another week or so before chopping?
What do the actual bud trichomes look like? Those look like they are on a leaf

You can go ahead and remove the ones that are brown and completely crispy they’re not doing anything for the plant. It looks like you still have a lot of white pistils so if you are trying to hurry it up you may want to bump it to a 13-hour dark 11 hour light and it will finish quicker but with less bud

Hmm okay, that’s where I’m at now. I switched to 13 off and 11 on about 5 days ago with Hellraisers advisement. Just really trying to make it to harvest with some decent buds. Hopefully a pound

If you go to AN website you can download the nutrient calculator app it is very useful. It says every thing you need to know for veg and flower regarding their nutes. For grow you bought what you need for veg cycle but voodoo juice which is needed for the 1st 2 weeks of veg and flower

Now that the hard part is over, time for some water and nutes.
Before watering, pick up that pot a few times, get a feel for the weight, or rather lack of weight, this is how it should feel when you want to water it next time.
The plants are about 3 weeks old and ready for some nutes. I use Advanced Nutrients and start at half dose from their nutrient calculator.
I know that I will use 1/2 gallon per pot of water. So I pour 2 gallons of RO water into a 5 gallon bucket and add my nutrients, 2 mls of grow part a, then mix, then add 2 mls grow part b, mix, add 2mls of B52 (b vitamin supplement), mix, add 2 mls of Voodoo Juice (root growth stimulator) then mix really well.
Are we ready to water the plants now? Nope, gotta adjust the pH.
Get a digital pH meter, you’re going to need it, also some pH up and pH down. A TDS meter would also be good to have.
Advanced Nutrients markets their products as “pH perfect’”, yes ph perfect for hydro and possibly coco (5.6-5.8) but soil likes a ph 6.5. So I use General Hydroponics pH up (and pH down on hand as well) to adjust the water/nute mix to 6.5. It took about 2 mls of ph up to change the ph from 5.8 to 6.5.
So, whatever fertilizer you are using, start low - 1/2 or 1/4 doses are safe, Full doses may or may not be safe, so start low and work up.
Now water/nute mix is ph’d, it is ready to give to the plants. I give them 1/2 gallon each, let excess drain for about 5 minutes, move to dry tray under the light so it can get back to growing.
@Hellraiser I have big problems here…
Here she is 11wks tomorrow and no where near ready in my opinion…so how many more weeks do you think she has? This is most likely a result of shitty lights…you live and you learn fast! Also when should I stop all nutes? Thanks!
@Littleflowerbud In my rookie opinion, you have at least another month. Looks frosty though. It will definitely get you high. The small buds are a result of the poor lighting. Other than that I’d say your doing great!
@NeoGroR hey did you stop your nutrients 2 weeks before you harvest and just gave straight water for the two weeks up the harvesting
