so… to make a super long story somewhat shorter.
My father contacted me for the first time in probably 15 years a couple weeks ago. we decided I would come over and I would bring my family over today for memorial day (just after both of our birthdays. now that I no longer have my grandparents to take care of).
after a bunch of shooting the shit, drinking some brews catching up with them and my sisters. somehow it came up about my dads “indoor plants”.
it turns out since his heart surgery a few years ago. he was done with having to take all the pain pills and turned to the good old natural everything relief and started growing himself.
He gave me 2 of the seeds he had leftover from Goonie Genetics. Heartless Creature F2.
he said it’s from around local in Ohio.
I can’t find all too much and was wondering if anyone might have ever grown any of these from them or have grown anything from Goonie Genetics.

Not familiar with them but what a cool gift from your dad

Never heard of them either but a quick search shows they have all kinds of social media and their genetics listed on seedfinder. I would think plenty of info within those options. When in doubt grow them out

it’s definitely not something I was expecting. such a random thing that legalizing in our state did that is probably going to at least aid in bringing a family back together. lol

oh i’m going to grow them, for sure. My tent is currently full of random seeds that I tried to pollinate with my hermaphrodite from last season.
so far so good on those… but we’ll see. I’m just going off the assumption that my herm pollen was able to cross with my fem auto’s and make more auto seeds.
so far both of the sprouts from the few seeds I got are throwing pistils. we’ll see if they flip on their own

I used to see alot of Goonie Genetics when strain hunting. Saw alot of good reviews too.

oh, yeah?
that’s good to hear. I’m still new to the whole strain hunting scene.
I was so inexperienced in my teens and twenties that any seed I got from a batch of some good bud and managed to grow to any kind of harvest was a giant win in my book.
only now am I starting to enjoy it more as a hobby and something to occupy my mind over actually smoking it! lol
I see you all over ILGM all the time.
so random question to you directly instead of making a whole new post.
Would you see any reason to worry over a plant showing light green leaf colors?
most of my previous have always been a bold green. now it’s light and i’m wondering if I should mix up some Vermicast tea. Or if it would be smarter to start doing a normal Micro/Grow/Flower mix of either GH or Advanced Nutrients that I have.
I’m assuming I should keep the (AN) for my hydro grows.
Right now I’m just using a 40/40/20% of Happy Frog Soil, Ocean Forest Soil and Perlite for Drainage.
Might wanna bump your nitrogen up a lil. I wouldnt mix synthetic and organic together. I did that my very first grow and it wasnt pretty. Cant go wrong with a compost tea. Dont forget to add a lil blackstrap molasses to it to feed the microbes.
