Just finishing my first grow, and because of inadequate lighting, the yield isn’t going to be great. The top 6" of the scrog looks about ready to harvest, but below that looks way off.
I was thinking of trimming off the 6" of ripe bud lowering the lights, and gaining it a good feed and leaving it for anther two weeks or so.
Is this possible?

The remaining flowers probably won’t get much bigger, but they should definitely ripen more with the tops gone. I saw someone recommend putting honey on the snip to keep it from rotting or drying out.

@TheDuke Harvest time already??? I still have 4 weeks left, but looking at the plants some will be done before the others so I will do the same thing and harvest in stages too.
Good Job. Got your first grow under your belt.
I’m not their yet @MAXHeadRoom, however not check of two days, and today the top buds have changed alot. I’ll put a pic up in the journal tomorrow.
But I reckon I’ll take the top 6" off on Monday. I’ve lost count of the week, I’ll have to consult the journal. I just know it sprouted on a Monday, so all my grows get started on a Monday, and all the changes etc, happen on Mondays. Nutes as close to Monday as I can, that depends on the girls thirst.
Edit- Monday coming will be week 9 of flower. They are looking nice. They are super sticky and lemon smelling.
