Hello to all and thanks for any advice in advance. This is my second time growing Girl Scout Cookie. First one went almost flawless, thanks in part to reading a lot of advise and going through dozens and dozens of question and replies in this section.
My concern is, The leaves on this one GSC is starting to appear puffy at times, and now shows the edges eroding or drying. This girl is just about 5 weeks old from sprouting. I started in 1 gallon pots with Happy Frog and transplanted about 2 weeks ago into 5 gallon pots with Ocean Forest, I used some roots organics OregonismXL on the roots and watered. I saw some good growth in the first week. A week ago I added in some 4-4-4 as a top dress and watered till runoff. Only watering when the soil is dry 1 to 1.5 inches down. The other 2 GSC appear to be fine but this one is showing signs of something on the leaves and also has red/purple stems on the leaves. Ph is 6.4-6.6, Usually always 6.5 with 3ML of Cal-Mag per gallon of water. Any ideas what this maybe or maybe leading too.
I’m growing one now and they do make huge lower fan leaves. I had to get rid of one, it was in the way. Size of my hand. But since the rest of the plant looks fine, I’m going to say they were rubbing against the edge of the pot and they really don’t like that. Nor touching soil.
Thanks. The GSC and Banana Kush do make some huge leaves. Leaves on the other GSC I have are 8-9in across. I waited longer on my first run to trim the leaves but these are big, probably to trim a few.
I can say that if you want to LST her, go for it now. My girl really took to it, and other than a slight “sunburn” on a few leaves (gotta turn my girls so they don’t have one part under the UV/IR bar all day) she is super happy and very healthy.
Yesterday, Day 34 above ground.
Sorry for the crappy grow light picture, she’s not coming out of tent for a few days, she is recovering from a broken branch.
